SV: I can hear only one way when I use nokia e-60withX-lite
Hello Olivier Ive been testing the E61 phone for some days now, and we need to have an inhouse asterisk server, connected to our main asterisk server, to get it to work. That means, that you cant just walk down to your local airport, and use the IP part of the phone on their network. You have to have a non nat local server, to get it to run. Other than that, the phone can accept calls both

Can you then inform me on what structures this information is stored in, in the asterisk code? Then ill try to do a quick dirty version of the replication. Sangoma card dying after 1hour
Hello List I am having a rather big problem with a sangoma A104 card, I just installed to replace a Digium TE410 card, that was acting up. But now we have a problem with the sangoma card. It runs great after being started, and calls proceed as normal, but after about 1 hour, it stops being able to make and receive calls. If I run wanpipemon debug, can see that the card still receives

Problems with Digium TE410
Hello List Just want to check if anybody else is having this problem. Every time the PRI connections are disconnected, the card freezes, and I have to reload the driver, to make it work again. We are very seriously considering switching to Sangoma at this moment, due to this and other problems, but I want to know if there is a solution, and to make sure it isn't asterisk that's freezing

SV: Database file to copy for active sessions.
Hello I can save you a lot of time, and tell you that it wont work. It does hold some registration information in the asterisk database, but most of the information is kept internally in Asterisk. Just FYI. Jon _____ Fra: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com] P? vegne af Shenen Shenen Sendt: 9. juni 2006 11:37 Til:

compatibility of PRI Two B channel transfers TBTC/2BTC
Hello, A client has asked for Two B channel Transfer capability (known as TBCT or 2BCT, similar to other features such as ECT, RTL and Q,SIG Path Replacement) in a new Asterisk system and so I researched the capability and came up with quite a few gaps in documentation.

IAX2 Vs SIP cpu load
Hello Is it correct that IAX2 uses more CPU, than SIP? Also, can it be true that IAX2 is much more sensitive against high CPU loads? Also, does Asterisk support and use multiprocessor architectures, such as Xeon? ? Regards Jon -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. SV: I can hear only one way when I use nokia e-60 withX-lite
Hello Be aware that the Nokia E60, E61 and E70 does not support NAT. Just to be shure that you know that. A clever choice from Nokia, so that users has to have some local equipment from the telco. SV: DTMF when using g.729
I should note that we are not running the Digium g729 implementation, but the intel one. Also, to not angry people, this ofcourse isn't used in our production environment, only for testing if we want g.729. Call status subscriptions on multiple servers
Hello List Is there a way to have hints sent between multiple servers? We are currently implementing a cluster solution for our asterisk servers, and the problem is this. User A registers on Asterisk 1 and user B registers on Asterisk 2. User A subscribes to user B's status, through SIP NOTIFY messages. As user B is registered to Asterisk 2, and not Asterisk 1, the NOTIFY messages are only

What type of PRI setup is best
I am having my colo set up 2 PRI's for my new asterisk implementation. They asked the following... ##SNIP## What type (NI2, NTI, 4ESS, or 5ESS) and whether they want to be USER or NETWORK. If the equipment is flexible, NI2, with us as NETWORK is preferred. ##SNIP## We are using a digium quad span T1 card. What is the recommended setup? Thanks, Chris

First PRI
Hello All, I am getting my first PRI installed in a couple of weeks and I wanted to ask for a little advice. I have a single span Digium card I will be using for the install. Id there a benefit to which protocol I use? When asked, I told them to set it up as NI2. The PRI is through MCI and will be used for local and long distance with DIDs and features like CallerID, etc. Any advice would be

Is there a product to simulate a PRI trunk?
Does anyone know of a way to simulate the signaling of a PRI trunk for testing/setup purposes? I realize this may be a rather naive question, but I was wondering if you could take a TE110, for example, and using a crossover cable (or not?) and some means of emulating the NI2 signaling protocol connect it to another TE110 on another machine to test and verify an installation before the telco

Ordering a Voice PRI for Asterisk
We are in the process of ordering a Voice PRI to plug into Asterisk. Of course we will be buying a card from Digium for this. Question is this, there seem to be MANY options technically when ordering this PRI (in the US) but since this is the first time ordering a voice circuit I am clueless as to what options we need. Any clues would be helpful or maybe something has already been written

admin rounting
Hello everyone, I''ve recently switched from CakePHP to rails. In CakePHP there is a feature called admin routing where your route would look like: /admin/controller/action/ which would map to a method admin_action() in the specified controller. Is something like this available in Rails as well or would I always have to create a separate controller? thanks for your help Marc

pri "call by call" trunking?
I've been working with a telco for the past two days trying to get a PRI span up and running. This is a small-ish telco and I get the feeling they don't do this very often. Anyway, they specified a pretty standard setup: ni2 switchtype, esf framing, b8zs coding, etc. All of my b-channels are up, but we're having a heck of a time getting the d-channel to come up. He finds out that

revisit to legacy PBX and CID over PRI
My legacy PBX accepts CID number, but not name. My old PRI vendor never sent the name, so there was never an issue. I have wedged asterisk between the Legacy PBX and PSTN. PSTN - PRI - asterisk - PRI - Legacy. Any calls from asterisk (sip and iax extensions) which have callerID set, will not connect. The legacy PBX hangs up, but asterisk thinks that it is still ringing. I have added
