web based index of samba share contents
Anyone know of a good opensource product to give google desktop like search
functionality via web browser of a set of samba shares running on a Debian
5.x server. It needs to be able to fully index word, excel, openoffice and
text files at a minimum. It should also have some form of ACL control so
that only certain users can actually search the index for specific smb
shares.

WIFI phones on asterisk
I have used WIP300, hitachi 5000 wireless phones on
asterisk and have had good success.
However, I am looking for a WIFI phone with integrated
belt clip. Has anyone found any?
I have tried after market clips and holders and those just
don't work.
THanks for sharing if someone has found something
that works with asterisk.

Linksys WIP300 WiFi Phone
Whoo hoo! I just received my WIP300 from voipsupply. I have to let it
charge before I can play with it.
A few quick comments:
- I started a Wiki page at voip-info to post issues, firmware news, etc.
I really like the wealth of info on the GXP-2000 page, so I wanted to
start something similar for this phone.

Porting to Dynix 4.1.3...
Hello there,
I am trying to build OpenSSH on the above (very old) version of unix.
With a bit of hacking, I have managed to get everything to compile and
run. Scp works fine however when I log in via ssh I end up with a
session without a controlling terminal.
I have followed the code in pty_make_controlling_tty and it seems to go
as follows:
1. Starts with a controlling tty.
2. setsid works,

te110p stays in red alarm
Folks,
I installed a te110p to connect to an E-1. Ensured the jumper is on
for E-1, installed the card, and got the following from the phone
company:
hdb3 encoding (verbally confirmed ccs)
euroisdn switchtype
pri signalling
So I set up zaptel.conf:
span=1,1,0,ccs,hdb3
bchan=1-15
unused=17-31
dchan=16
loadzone=us
defaultzone=us
Card tries to come up but goes into RED alarm. Occasionally cycles

rsync .gz files?
I've run across a situation where I have a directory of .gz files. I do
want to rsync this directory.
I've tried without the --compress (because they are already compressed) but
the files never get rsynced.
Interactively, I get the following error:
:rsync error: some files could not be transferred (code 23) at main.c(1045)
In the /etc/rsyncd.log, for each of the files, I get:

PAM sending wrong username to Winbind (fwd)
Hi All,
I have tried logging into ftp using my NT username and password and it
works. It is only SSH which has this problem.

Hi all, first post to the list, the archives have sorted me for most
things but not much luck for this...
I've got 2 BT ISDN30's, 2 ISDN85's (i *think*) from NTL and 2 ISDN110's
from Cable&Wireless connected to an alcatel 4400 at the moment, i've
moved the two BT lines over to asterisk and now i need more lines, so
went ahead and tried to take 1 of what i thought was a

linksys wip300 firmware
Hello,
Does anyone have access to version 1.00.07 of the Linksys WIP 300 firmware?
The only version on their site at the moment is 1.00.09, which the
phone refuses to load.

First Time Setting up RAID
Arch = x86_64
CentOS-6.4
We have a cold server with 32Gb RAM and 8 x 3TB SATA drives mounted in hotswap
cells. The intended purpose of this system is as an ERP application and DBMS
host. The ERP application will likely eventually have web access but at the
moment only dedicated client applications can connect to it.
I am researching how to best set this system up for use as a production host

CLID Presentation & Billing Number | Diversion vs. Remote-Party-ID vs. P-Asserted-Id vs. From vs. P-Charge-info
We would like to present a toll free CallerID when making outbound toll
calls. In the past, when our PRIs were directly connected to a Nortel
CS1000 we could do this, without issue. Now that the PRIs are front ended
by a mediagateway facing asterisk, we can no longer do this.
Is it possible to set the billing number via a SIP header and set what
should be presented as callerid as another header

Identify call router? How?
I have a machine in my office, it is labelled Cable and Wireless, and on
the back it says, SMarT-1
I have searched the web, and no joy. It connects to a PC via a serial
cable, has anyone heard of such a device?

WiFi phones and WDS (Wireless Distribution System)
I'm about to start working with WiFi phones on my Asterisk
installations.
Can anyone tell me if they are using WiFi phones on wireless network
that is extended with WDS and how well the phone handles jumping from
access point to access point while on a call?
Do any WiFi phones support WPA encryption or are they all still under
the impression they are only being used on public hot spots?

[OT] Wifi SIP phones - LinkSys WIP330
Hi List,
Hope everyone is recovering from the festive season :) (ok we still have
new years i guess!)
Anyways, I was wondering if anyone has had any successful dealings with
WiFi phones and operation with '*' at all?
I've been keeping my eye on the LinkSys WIP330 (

Would I be correct in thinking that (as

Current Open Source Billing Package
After spending a couple hours scanning for an open source (non-
commercial) billing package yesterday I am underwhelmed. Almost all of
the packages listed on the WIKI appear to be defunct, for several
years now. I will be happy to get a login and edit them out if that is
the proper method to do so.
My requirements are very minimal and at this point unless I have
missed something will

hi,
I followed the instructions faithfully in

very understandable and almost painless. I did miss the documentation, as
"make progdocs" would not work since the package "doxygen" was not
