10 FXS - Channel Bank or PCI Card?
Hi All, What do you recommend? I was looking at: http://www.voipon.co.uk/sangoma-a200-fxo-fxs-analogue-card-pci-express-p-393.html But it will be 3 PCI slots. Thanks, Gavin.

Use ZAP/Dahdi channel for outbound only... no inbound?
Greetings list- I have a box with a single FXO card in it. I'm able to dial out ZAP/1 with no problems and as expected. However, I would like inbound calls on that POTS line to go unanswered by Asterisk since I have other equipment on the line. I've setup zapata.conf for the channel without a context but the line is still answered. I've also setup a blank context with the same result.

Trouble building package using R in development
Dear List, I'm having considerable trouble setting up my environment (Linux, Fedora 16, Bash) to build and check packages under R Under Development (r61660). I'm doing this to better get a handle on difference in the output from running checks on examples in one of my packages. Note I compiled R Under Development myself The problem I am now having is whenever I try to build my analogue

Zap inbound hangup problem
Hi all, I have an Astribank connected to Asterisk 1.4. I'm setting up extensions and I have a problem with inbound calls to zap extensions. The phone at 65 rings once and then the line gets hung up. If I pick up the phone really fast, it works. Any suggestions? I have the following setup: [from-pstn] exten => 207582401,1,Dial(Zap/65,30) CLI shows me this: -- Accepting call from

How long to detect an "h" exten?
Dear All, How long should it take before a exten => h,1,Hangup() kicks in, versus a exten => s,n,Hangup() I'm just about to test, but thought I'd ask. -- http://www.suretecsystems.com/services/openldap/

R CMD check not reading R_LIBS from ~/.R/check.Renviron
Dear List, Further to my earlier email, I note that, for me at least, R CMD check is *not* reading R_LIBS from ~/.R/check.Renviron on R 2.15.2 patched (r61228) and R Under Development (r61660). The only way I can get R CMD check to look for packages in a user-supplied library is by explicitly exporting R_LIBS set to the relevant directory. R CMD build *does* read R_LIBS from ~/.R/build.Renviron

Simultaneous Inbound and Outbound calls on analog lines...
Hello! I've run into a problem where a user is making an outbound call at the same time that an inbound call is being made on the same analog line. It appears that as the zap channel is opened for the outbound call, it is simply answering the inbound call. Obviously, both parties involved in the calling get a bit confused. Previously, it happened only on an occasional basis. However, as this

OT: (quasi-?) separation in a logistic GLM
Dear List, Apologies for this off-topic post but it is R-related in the sense that I am trying to understand what R is telling me with the data to hand. ROC curves have recently been used to determine a dissimilarity threshold for identifying whether two samples are from the same "type" or not. Given the bashing that ROC curves get whenever anyone asks about them on this list (and

FSMO sieze syntax not working
Hi, I had a hardware failure this week on one of my DCs.. not a problem I thought, I will restore from backup.. All good, but from it turns out that the backup was fully up to date apart from my /usr/local/samba folder, which was from 2016 (don't ask...! I am quite embarrassed about that) I did boot up the DC (DC1) before I realised.. but I have since renamed the /usr/local/samba folder to

ChanIsAvail kills dialplan processing when no Zap available on 1.2.14.
Hi, I'm trying to use ChanIsAvail to build a resilient 'dialout' macro. The logic is simple; try Zap/g1 (a group of two E1s), and if that fails, try locating a channel via DUNDi. Here's a massively cut down version to illustrate the problem I'm having. macro dialout ( dest ) { ChanIsAvail(Zap/g1); noop(Value of AVAILCHAN is ${AVAILCHAN});

Sweave - documenting a long function
Hi, I would like to use Sweave to document a long function. Is it possible to split the function's code into chunks such that Sweave will accept each chunk without complaining. I have tried various approaches without sucess but I feel sure that someone has done this already. Here is one attempt ============== % First, define the funciton header <<defFunHdr, eval=FALSE>>= x <-

Info on UK ISDN30e?
Hi :) My employer is looking to move a call centre to a new office, and has been increasingly frustrated with their legacy PBX (call-logging licensing and hardware upgrade costs). So I've stepped forth as the Open Source Pedant and suggested Asterisk so we can do all our own CallerID / call logging / analyses, and make use of IP Phones / teleworking, etc. The problem begins in that I only

Newbie - setup help
Hi, I'm trying to setup Asterisk on a Linux (redhat 8) machine. There are no analogue phones to be used & use is purely for internet traffic (SIPs). I've followed the setup guide from : http://www.automated.it/guidetoasterisk.htm But cannot get asterisk to run. If I type asterisk at the command prompt I get invalid instruction If I type ./asterisk start I get [FAILED] Can

Unable to join DC to domain
Alright... appreciate the info. Gave it a shot. Domain is still up but shares are down because they were hosted on FILER which has now been demoted and is no longer running any samba services. What I did while following the wiki "Transfer/Seize FSMO Roles": 1) logged on to FILER, ran samba-tool fsmo show, verified all 7 roles were owned by FILER. 2) logged on to CBADC01, executed

Logging in taking too long with roaming profile
Hello, I am trying to setup a network of 5 XP computers with roaming profiles. I've got a profile set up on the server and I can log on. The problem is that the log in time takes about 10 mins and the log out takes just as long. Here is a link to the log file from the samba server. I have made comments on it to show what is happening on the terminal.

[LLVMdev] creating SCEV taking too long
Thank you very much for your reply. Do you mean calculate the hash based on element SCEV pointers? But according to the comments before GroupByComplexity(): /// Note that we go take special precautions to ensure that we get deterministic /// results from this routine. In other words, we don't want the results of /// this to depend on where the addresses of various SCEV objects happened to

aggregate taking way too long to count.
Folks, I'm checking the structure of a dataframe for duplicate parameters at a site station (i.e depth should be measured once, not twice), using aggregate to count each parameter within a site station. The fake data below has only 26000 rows, and takes roughly 14 seconds. My real data has 750000 rows and I had to stop execution after about an hour. The by() function is faster, but I
