*End Of Life ASTERISK 1.2.X Was: INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE ASTERISK COMMUNITY - PLEASEREAD NOW *
Rather hasty I think. I think whatever version 1.2.X winds up on should
be the most stable release of Asterisk, period.
Thanks,

FOSDEM in Brussells - Feb 23-24
Friends,
I will be attending FOSDEM in Brussells Feb 23-24. Anyone else?
Me and Philippe Sultan (the Jabber/XMPP Asterisk developer) will be
there, so we could have a SIP/XMPP/Asterisk ad hoc meeting :-)
On Thursday, Feb 21, I will be in Utrecht, Netherlands for the free
Open Telephony conference at Media Plaza. There's still seats available
and a really good talk about ENUM with Patrik

BugTracker Information - REPOST
All,
As a bug marshal, I have noticed quite a few bugs that seem to get
overlooked/ignored due to the fact that they do not have the appropriate
information in the bug information fields, or bugnotes. I am,
therefore, Reposting an old post from July 26th, 2003, to help clarify
the use of the Bugtracker. Sorry if you have read it before; this is
just an attempt to re-familiarize

Hi Siarhei,
This is a really silly bug with a simple fix.
We have a similar patch here locally, but as this is part of another
set of patches we were waiting for it to stabilise. There are some

[LLVMdev] ARM ELF target and the use of VFP/NEON instructions
Hi,
I have submitted a bug some time ago to LLVM bugtracker:
http://llvm.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=8931
The problem is that I'm trying to use clang in linux system, running
on ARM hardware. And this bug, as trivial as it is, seems to be a major
showstopper.
I wonder if I'm the only one trying to use LLVM/clang in this configuration
or doing something in an unusual way? Anyway, the LLVM

*** Asterisk Sun/Monday News: Time to download, Scotty!
This week starts with the exciting news: We're getting close to
Asterisk 1.0 again. After the failed attempt earlier this year,
we've been able to remove a lot of the MAJOR/CRASH bugs from the
bug tracker and Mark feel's it's time to target 1.0 again.
At this point, the community needs to work as a community,
spending extra time on finding bugs, solving issues, improving

Feature requests :: For now, not in the bug tracker - please!
Dear Asterisk community,
We are now working hard to complete Asterisk 1.2, testing and finalizing
the existing patches and work that is going on in the developer team.
Now is too late to file feature requests for 1.2 in the bug tracker.
Unless you have a solid, working and tested patch, we will not consider
the feature request on behalf of the developer team. A bug marshal will
propably close

Accidentally I opened this can of worms to see if we can add support
for other language syntaxes for saying numbers. Seems like Swedish,
english and norwegian follow the same syntax. I've integrated
existing patches for french, danish and soon portuguese syntax.

Asterisk 1.2 is getting closer - please help
Dear Asterisk Community,
Asterisk 1.0 was released at Astricon 2004, in September last year. It's
been almost a year and we haven't been able to go ahead and release a
new version. Now is the time to try to move forward again.
As we've outlined before, the process is this:

Unifying mailing lists and bug trackers
Excuse the cross posting, but it underlines the entire point quite nicely.
After the merge of Compiz and Beryl, we've still got two projects. That in
itself isn't a huge problem, but it's a bit problematic with regards to
mail (what list to choose?) and bug trackers.
Since we get very little traffic on these e-mail lists, I suggest we shut
down the dev@ list at

Okay fellow Asterisk users... Listen up (or perhaps more appropriately,
"read down").

thousands of you out there -- in fact there are over eight *thousand*
subscribers to asterisk-users alone, and almost one *thousand* registered
users on the bug tracker. The #asterisk IRC channel is consistently in
