Hi gang, We are moving our 1.4 asterisk with DAHDI over to 10.0 with SIP. Everything is going nicely except that I can't get NV_FAXDETECT to compile properly into 10.0. Hello, I was wondering if the following was possible: When somebody sends a fax to my direct number 0101234567105 (my extension will be 105) is it possible that Asterisk, or an addon sees this as a fax, and e-mail the fax to me? So everybody with a private extension will be able to receive faxes in his e-mailbox on his direct number. Any pointers would be highly appreciated! Thanks, Peter

Hi, We are recieving some faxes, but I would say that about 50% of them do not work. We don't know why... is it something with the faxes speed, volume, etc? Should we use a real fax machine? Using a TDM13B with a rxgain of about 5.0... Thank you for any help. -- Alexandre Leclerc

I'd like to be able to direct an inbound fax call into my TNT, have it answer the fax and send the image file over to Asterisk, or some other system to deliver to an e-mail address(s). I changed from a TE410P to a TE411P and fax carriers weren't detected anymore ! I have tried everything (recompile zaptel+asterisk+spandsp ; echocancel=yes/no ; rxgain=0/txgain=0 ; increase Wait() ; ...), nothing worked. The only solution that worked for me was to install and use NVFaxDetect. HTH.
