Three simple problems with wine under SuSe 9.3
I have three problems with wine. Wine set up a pseudo windows directory system under my home directory/wine. My application resides in the created 'Program Files' directory and a necessary file placed in the windows/system directory.
1. If I click on the exe and run with wine it works without error. However I seem unable to set up a path to the exe as in 'wine "drive_c/Program

Mandrake 9.0: rpcclient problem exporting printers to samba for windows
I am new to CUPS, after working for 4 days to get printing from WinNT to
Mandrake 9.0, I give up. Here is the problem:
the /etc/samba/smb.conf is setup with [printers] and [print$]. I copy the
postscript drivers from adobe. I then tried to export a printer to samba with
the following command
cupsaddsmb -v -U dwoody canon
It did all of the commands successfully except for the last one. which

The bug happens not very often, it might need a week to get a core file.

Debugging my first app
Hi everybody, I'm trying to run 'The typing of the dead'.
When I start the application, it crashes with the log attached. I've
tried to track down the faulty function, I've used WINEDEBUG=+seh, but I
don't know what to look for.
Any hints?

Samba 2.2.7a and cups 1.1.18
Hi
I have installed samba-2.2.7a and cups-1.1.18. After reading all the documentation samba
provides as well as the cups administrators guide I am still stuck. I have added the
printers just the way the samba and cups documentation says. Anyway here is my output from
cupsaddsmb, It fails on the last step, so i have run that manually again afterwards with
debugging enabled.

OCFS install trouble w/ new kernel - unresolved symbols
I successfully have OCFS running in a two-node RAC environment using RHAS
3 (2.4.21-4.EL) using Qlogic 2310 cards. IO performance, however, was
terrible with the combination of OCFS and the Qlogic cards. After
extensive testing, OCFS did fine on its own, as did the fibre cards. Put
the two together, and everything literally ran twice as slow.
Support at Qlogic pointed me to

Re: ocfs performance question
Well, you are the second person who has complained about
the performance of OCFS with the PERC controller.
Best option would be to contact DELL. We are in contact with
them... as in, they inform us of any issues they have with linux/ocfs
on their hardware. As we do not have this particular hardware inhouse,
all we can only speculate as to what the issue is.

Re: RipTrax - New Version And Added Features
Alex,
Found the problem with the wave file being empty. All fixed. A new
version is on the home page at:
http://web2.airmail.net/jlundy/riptrax.htm
This version also has improved setup dialogs for Blade, Lame and Ogg
Vorbis. This gives the user greater control over encoding options. This will
develop over time to provide all reasonable options. I want the setup for
each encoder to be as
