Call tranfer drops 1st. digit
Hi list, I experiencing a strange behaviour when transferring a call. The use case is like this: - Incoming call from Zap/1-1 - Routed to SIP phone SIP/1001 - The called user (SIP/1001) wants to redirect the call and presses "#" - IVR (default setup) says "Transfer" and user gets dial tone - User dials 1002 - IVR says "No such extension - please try again" ??? Processing incoming calls with multiple contextst over PRI
So I have a problem. A customer of mine wants a PBX, owns an office building. I want to sell him on asterisk. He has 4 tenants. I am using my asterisk box to simulate it. My asterisk box has a TDM400P card, not a PRI card. Don't know if it makes any difference. Anyway, I want to route incoming phone calls to different contexts based on the phone number being called. Here is my

Smbclient cant transer large files
Hello I have a problem transferring files >64KB to a Windows share, it worked fine until a few weeks ago (see bottom for information). The issue seems identical to https://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2016-November/204558.html, and I added a Wireshark-Dump which begins directly after NTLMSSP_AUTH authentication (don't want to add login information). The error is always "Write AndX

Can I let rsync only transer a part of file within specific byte ranges?
Hi all, Suppose I have a file on the remote rsync server: rsync://path/to/myfile And I want to only retrieve a part of the file based a ranges of bytes to my local host, say, 0-499, means only transfer the first 500 bytes of that file. Manager redirect action does not appear to work in some cases.
Hi there, I am currently developing the ability to have a unified system/telephone login, with SIP phones paired to a computer. When a user logs into a computer, a notification is sent to an external service program which connects to Asterisk through the manager API. Besides that, the service program tracks user status on the computer, and triggers actions depending on various conditions.

Rgenerating headers
Hi So far when I have streamed Vorbis, the headers (the 3 first frames/packets) was not included in the stream, but communicated out of band typically in an SDP file as unparsed A-lines. Rethinking that concept, I'm wondering if it is really necessary to do it that way. Isn't it possible in a platform independent way to regenerate useable headers on the client side using just the

How to config SIP blind transfer in extension.conf
I want to setup a blind transer for auto forwarding to SIP peer. I have context forwarding looks like this in extension.conf [forwarding] ... exten => 511,1,Dial(SIP/sip_proxy-out) ... This will do the re-invite, which is attendance transfer maybe. But I want a blind transfer by REFER method. How can I do that? I know that the transfer() function may be able to do that. But I don't know

Vorbis as a standard
Hi I'm trying push for companies and government institutions to start using Vorbis as an alternative to MP3 and to some extend AAC so they as a benefit can ignore rigid license schemes and expensive royalty payments. In principle it ought to be a downhill job, but it has turned out to be a lot more difficult than expected. The biggest obstacle for government institutions and to some extend

rsync duplicates after file removal
Hi, After I have removed some files from the backup computer with the command find /home/user/.Maildir/.Spam/* -mtime +30 -type f -exec rm "{}" \; does the command: rsync -av -e "ssh -l root" host:/home/* /home create many duplicates. What I expect is for it to just "restore" the backup to what it was like before. I'm using rsync version 2.6.3 and

Re: transfers/parked calls + polycom 501
Howdy - > The transer button on the polycom phone does not seem to transfer/park the > call properly. I have to use the # -> 700 to park the call. If I recall, using the Polycom transfer, you have to make sure it is done as a blind transfer. The Polycom attended transfer (default) option does not work. > Furthermore the # -> 700 only works on incomming calls. If I
