Applet?
Hello people. I would like to know if someone knows about any applet to include in a web page to start calls. What I am looking for is something that doesn't allow users to change numbers, or any other option, so I can include it in my web page and force them to call to me and no one else. I have tried JIAXClient, but it allows people to call anywhere, and what I want is just a configurable

Cubix Softphone + Asterisk 1.2.6
I've tried Idefisk and Cubix Softphones, and they both work fine, except for two issues: 1. Idefisk seems to have a longer delay between the time I can hit tones, and 2. Cubix, while can send DTMF faster, never actually connects to an Asterisk-dialed call -- I can't hear the party who answers. #2 has been asked but unanswered here:

Looking for a good lightweight Linux softPhone
I used to use IDEFISK, but since it was taken over/renamed into Zoiper it's been really hard work - now I'm told that they won't support my chosen distribution - Debian Etch - the current stable version of Debian I prefer. So, looking to dump Zoiper and go with something else - I want something light-weigh (So that rules out Ekiga - and Zoiper was going down the bloatware route

Best USB Handset and Softphone Combination
I have a client that want to try the softphone with USB handsets route to see if hardphones will even be needed. I always push for hardphones (Polycom) so I am not sure about softphones or USB handsets. This is going to be for a 300+ seat call center onsite and many offsite, I plan on using OpenVPN for the offsite machines. Any advice on softphones, handsets, or practical experience with

Help, please help -- IAX2 softphone to server on LAN
I've already sunk several hours into this without any real progress, so I'd really appreciate any help My task is simple -- establish a connection between a softphone on XP ProSP2 to a Asterisk server on Linux FC4 over a LAN through a Netgear router. The server will then go out to a PSTN termination service. Thus far, the PSTN termination connection works fine -- I've opened up 4569

Bluetooth headset in handsfree modewith SJPhoneor X-lite
Hi, You need to have completely replaced the Microsoft driver, because it doesn't support the headset or ctp Bluetooth profiles. This gave me fits! I followed the instructions at http://www.windowsdevcenter.com/pub/a/windows/2005/07/05/bluetooth.html and it works with both a Plantronics and a Motorola Headset, and I can answer calls with idefisk, eyebeam, x-lite, and kapanga. Verizon-Vonage Lawsuit
May be slightly off topic, but I was wondering what everyone thinks of this latest ruling against Vonage? On Topic: Cheapest Asterisk USB Key? (was: Re: Off Topic: Open Source USB Softphone)
Here's a flipside of this subject: what is the absolute cheapest Linux device that can be connected to a PC's USB port? That has just enough power for a minimal Asterisk server running on it. The Asterisk just maintains a CDR database on its Flash memory, which it periodically submits over the PC's network connection with an HTTP hit on a remote full-service Asterisk server? No call

asterisk telemarketer torture sound files
Hi, I have some annoying telemarketer calling me on a recurring basis, but I'd like to discourage them a bit and have some fun. Anyone have a copy of these? -Adam
