Trying to find my feet here. If I wanted to connect Asterisk to a PRI and
throw in a T1 Adtran channel bank into the mix for fax machines would the
following work?
Connect PRI line from telco to Port 1 on the Digium Wildcard TE205P.
Connect Adtran TA-624-T1 to Post 2 on the Digium Wildcard TE205P
also, would I need a crossover to the channelbank or is it a patch lead

Rackmount PC hardware suggestions
I'm looking for anyone who has some vendors for rackmount PC hardware
in a fairly decent configuration for Asterisk/Digium T1 termination.
I am looking for well-built hardware from an integrator that
understands correct component choice. Preferably, I'd like SCSI but
I might be able to do Ultra-IDE platforms. I need at least two PCI
slots in the chassis (so 2u/3u size factor is OK.)

Polycom 501 resource full problems ...
Hi List,
Not sure if this is the place for this so here goes ...
We have a number of Polycom 501's connected to our * box and they work
great. Some of our users have added a few entries into the directory on
the phone. The problem is on those particular phones they now sometimes
get "resource full" on the phone when accessing the directory. No central
directory was configured.

PAP2 and Asterisk
I have a Linksys PAP2 connected to Asterisk. Have one of the FXS ports
working fine. I am unable to get the other to work. Does anybody have an
example configuration to make both work. Both are registering fine but
there's just no dialtone on the non working port.
TIA

Simple setup ...
Hi,
I'm currently looking to run Asterisk in the office to replace an old PBX
and would appreciate a little help. We are moving offices and will have 8
digital lines. My questions are:
As there are 8 digital lines is this known as PRI?
Which Digium card would be the best fit?
Would you recommend looking at the echo cancellation cards?
We are UK based: is caller id supported by Asterisk

Hi All,
About a month ago APC announced they were including MODBUS protocol

Hardware RackMount Codec?
Hello all. I've been a fan of the xiph project for some time, thank you for your excellent work. I am looking for a fully-developed, beta, or alpha open-source hardware platform for remote deployment to terrestrial fm transmitters and streaming to general internet listeners. Willing to participate in development/beta testing of projects or possible $ support for an existing project. Able

[Hardware] Good Server I/O on-the-cheap: ASL Monarch 811x with CentOS 4.2 ...
Since good server designs have come up in the past, I wanted to point
out a "low-cost" server option that has good I/O, and the vendor offers
_your_choice_ of not only Fedora Core or Red Hat Enterprise Linux, but
_also_ CentOS _shipped_ with it!
IN-A-NUTSHELL ...
Starting at just over $750, you can get a single Socket-939 Opteron 1xx
(dual-core is an option) system with up to 4GiB of

preferences in used Compaq Proliant DL380 G1 vrs DL380 G2 etc
greetings,
for those of you in the know, may i have some assistance in helping to make
better decisions in purchasing more used server toys to install CentOS on
please? :-)
in the Compaq Proliant Rackmount DL380 line, the one that looks like the
older 1850R is called a G1 meaning Generation 1 right?
and then the DL380 G2 is a redesign that is gray and just has 6 drive bays
up front correct?

Realtek RTL8111B
Hello,
I am bussy building a xen cluster.
When selecting mainboards for this cluster i came only up with core 2 duo mainboards with onboard gigabit ethernet cards with the realtek RTL8111B chipset.
I have tested a mainboard and could not find a way to compile the driver sourcecode from the realtek site because of a missing /lib/modules/2.6.16-xen/Build directory.
Can anyone help me out? I am

Hardware opinions?
Hello, I am trying to build up a pretty meaty Asterisk box after doing our initial testing and playing on a 1ghz system.
Right now I have decided on a prebuilt system which I normally don't do but thought it seemed like a good deal.
I have included the initial specs below, I will be adding another 1 GB of RAM for a total of 2 GB.
My first question is regarding the serial ATA drives... I

Cisco contract for 7940/7960 firmware access
Maybe not the place for this but thought I'd post the info for others. I
purchased a cisco 7960 off ebay and needed to convert to SIP for *. I
know * supports SCCP but I wont go into that here. I'd read on
voip-info.org that a contract could be purchased for approx $8 to allow me
to download the firmware. I though, being in the UK, i'd get one through
a reseller in the UK.
