applying a set of rules to each row
All,
I would like to apply a set of rules to each row of the sample data set
below. The rule sets are the guidelines for determining an individual's
date for retirement eligibility. The rules are found in this document,
http://www.opm.gov/feddata/RetirementPaperFinal_v4.pdf. I am only
interested in the top two categories for retirement eligibility, the
CSRS and FERS plans.
The data set has

AD replication issue
I believe the problem is a lack of outbound replication for non PDC
emulator DCs. You'll notice isn't even trying because last successful
was epoch (never) yet there are no errors. Inbound replication for this
DC seems fine.

Re: Welcome to the "R-help" mailing list
I am trying to pass some R objects to C++ code. However, after reading
through the mannual "Writing R extensioms" for version 2.1.0
(2005-04-18),
I still couldn't figure out:
1) How can I see .c files in a package? For example, I am interested in
looking at source files in "Spdep".
2) Can I include whichever header files I find in my C++ code, if I
eventually will load

I am a Samba newbie, setting up Samba on a FreeBSD machine in a Windows

ping to both in either directions using either IP #'s or hostnames. On

an object of class lm returned by lm?
Can someone tell me what an object of class lm returned by lm means? I
assumed it mean the regression model - but I'm not sure how to enter
this in. I have tried

but this is not working. I have also tried saving the regression
results and entering these, but again this is incorrect.
This language is from the following:

Extraction of columns from two matrices
Hi,
I have two matrices with 4885 cols and 36 cols respectively . I would like
to extract these 36 columns from the bigger matrix, the column values are
different but the column names would be the same.Hence based on the names I
would like to perform my operation. So is there any way of extracting this
info in an easy way. I have tried names, which, grep, subset none have worked.
Could someone help

Windows 2k/XP and roaming profiles
Hi
I'm finding it takes ages to download a roaming profile from the server
when I log into Win2k or XP. A 4Mb profiles typically takes about 2
minutes (and 2 minutes to write back when I log out).
I did a test and copied the profile directory from the server to my PC.
Running under Win98 takes 1-2 minutes. Under 2K/XP it takes nearly 5
minutes. However, a single file of 4Mb only takes about
