SPA-2102 sending local IP instead of WAN IP in SIP packets
Hi Guys, This is such an annoying issue whenever it comes up. The sender and receive always receive the source public IP no matter what in the IP packets but then SIP packets go out with something like 192.168.0.20. In this instance, a Bell Canada DSL modem is installed and I saw the SPA-2102 register properly but only to fail later on due to sending it's LAN IP to the Asterisk server. So,

Hi there! First mail on the list :) 1.- is it possible to use an spa2102 to make and revice calls from a "normal" phone? I mean, I know I can use it to connect an analog to an asterisk server, but I want to know if it can be used to connect asterisk to the analog phoneline. 2.- I'm trying to unlock the spa2102 with no succes at the moment, any links or hint will be very

OT: NAT in SPA922
Hi all, I've just bought some SPA922. First time with this hardware for me. I see no LAN tab in its web GUI where I can setup NAT for PC conected to its LAN ethernet port. However, when I connect a PC to that port, SPA922 works as bridge. Anybody can confirm SPA922 can NAT a PC connected to its LAN port? Does exist such LAN tab for setting up parameters as port forwarding? (by the way,

Sipura SPA-3000 vs Linksys SPA3000
Hallo! I had ordered a Sipura SPA-3000 in the UK, but the supplier turned out to be unreliable and never shipped. Yesterday I went looking for alternative suppliers and found the Linksys SPA3000 device. It's a different box, but the specs look very similar. Is this the same device? Has anyone used this Linksys SPA3000 successfully with Asterisk? Thanks, Frank

SPA-841 "Decode Latency"?
We're investigating audio quality issues in our system; maybe someone can help. We're using Asterisk as a basic PBX, with a single PRI on one side and SIP phones on the other: Sipura SPA-841's. We're experiencing several audio effects which seem to commonly correspond to network failures (packet loss, high jitter, etc manifested as "robot voice", dropouts, periodic

Do the Linksys Sipura series have a known problem with Asterisk?
I have a Linksys Sipura SPA2102 connected to Asterisk 1.4.27 and sometimes it doesn't connect at all. I keep getting a busy signal when I try to dial. It appears to happen most often when both lines are registered. The 2 lines on Linksys lines also use different ports. Does that mean than it is necessary to configure the 2nd line with port=5061 in sip.conf, or can they both use 5060? Thanks

Should a Linksys Sipura 2102 be configured with nat=yes even if it is on the local network?
Should a Linksys Sipura 2102 be configured with nat=yes even if it is on the local network? I have been having some troubles with a Linksys Sipura 2100 series, which suffers from NO AUDIO after a few calls.. Because it is on the same subnet as Asterisk it is configured with nat=no. When you think of it because the Sipura 2100 is a broadband router, the voice part may be considered as being behind

Asterisk Fax
Hi I know that this topic was on the list maybe dozen of times. But I have a question regarding the fax support in asterisk, because all the information I could get does not give me the clear view of if. I read that Asterisk 1.8 will have strong fax (t.38) support, but I want to know if these four scenarios will be possible to achieve: fax machine (phone+fax) connected to ATA --- SPA2102 ATA ---

How to configure a Linksys PAP2T ATA to connect an analog fax machine to Asterisk
I was having problems getting a Linksys PAP2T-NA to work with Pitney Bowes mailing station so it could use its modem to dial home and download postage/software updates. After scowering the web, I couldn't seem to find a definite how to article on what settings were needed. I finally came up some settings by combining the information from various places around the 'net. I have typed out

Phone attached to Sipura SPA-1001 has no ring
I hooked up a SPA-1001 with asterisk yesterday and all works well except the phone doesn't ring. The phone I'm using has a LCD display so I can see the call come in. (with caller id info) I can answer and complete the call but it's just not ringing. The phone rings if pluged into a POTS line so it's not the phone that's the problem. I've used the SPA-1001's web

SIP peer disappearing
Hi all, I'm having this weird issue that I can't explain. Maybe someone can explain what is happening. This is a Asterisk install that has been in production for 6+ months. It's version 1.2.10. Couple weeks ago one SIP peer started disappearing randomly. And I mean it simply disappears. One second "sip show peers" shows it, and then it's gone. A simple "sip

Fax, T38 and NAT
Gentlemen, I have 3 faxes attached to an Asterisk. Fax - SPA2102 - Asterisk. 0851711201 and 0851711290 is on our WAN, no NAT. 0197673581 is outside our WAN and needs to be NAT'ed. Sending a fax from 0851711201 to 0851711290, no problem, switches to T38 and fax goes through. Sending a from 0197673581 to 0851711201, no problem as long as i dont enable T38 on 0197673581. But, if i enable T38

Dial multiple extensions, but different variables/timeouts
Hi everyone, I'm wondering I would accomplish the following: I want to dial several SIP extensions simultaneously, HOWEVER, for different times (say ext 10 for 15 sec and ext 11 for 30 sec), and potentially with different headers (such as ALERT_INFO) and codecs for each extension. Obviously whoever picks up first gets the call. After the longest timeout expires (30 sec in this example) I want

Legacy Cisco ATA186I1
The ATA186I1 is way past end of life, it was the first version of the ATA186, but it's still working with only a couple adjustments to a factory default configuration. Unlike the brand spanking new Cisco/Linksys SPA2102. Which has a number outstanding issues with Cisco/Linksys tech support. It's taking a lot longer than I was expecting to get the new? box working.? And I may continue

SIP NOTIFY to make linksys/cisco SPA BLF go yellow
Hi, I was wondering if anyone stumbled upon the correct event in a sip NOTIFY (from a SUBSCRIBE) to make the BLF lamps on a Linksys/Cisco SPA9xx/5xx go yellow? I'm trying to differentiate between "On the Phone" and "DND" with the BLF. Thanks. -- James
