Fidelio protocol and Mitel protocol
Does anyone know anything about the Fidelio and Mitel protocol for hotel /
motel?

Are these industry standards or proprietary formats?

Are there open standards for communication with Hotel management
software's that could be used in conjunction with a custom asterisk
deployment?

 Thanks

Cisco 79xx firmware
I have several Cisco 79xx phones (7905, 7920, 7940, 7960, 7970, ATA 186) and I need to buy firmware for them. I have contacted http://www.cdw.com and http://www.insight.com/ but they didn't respond.
Can anybody tell me where can I buy SCCP and SIP firmware for my phones?
BTW, I'm in Croatia (Hrvatska). I heard that location does matter.
P.S.

Anyone connected Asterisk to hospitality packages such as:

We'd be interested in providing bounty on providing a connection to one or
more (depending upon what the client selects) if our proposal goes through.
Ultimately, about 300 to 600 stations will be provided.

Astricon hotel recommendations.....?
Hi all,
Looks like I'm going to make the trip over to Astricon next month, but
finances being what they are and since I'll be paying for my own flight from
the UK, I'm trying to cut down on costs.
The problem I've got is that the hotel is about 4 miles from the nearest
public transportation (Brookhaven station) and the shuttle bus is only for
hotel residents.
Hiring a car seems

AstriCon Hotel Full - Here are some near-by alternates
Well, it looks like AstriCon 2006 is going to be big. We've sold out
the entire Westin Park Central -- every last room. So, here are some
nearby hotels to check if you're planning on coming down to Dallas for
the big Asterisk-fest.

Cordless SIP Phones
Can anyone recommend a good cordless user-configurable SIP hardphone that is
readily available in the states and doesn't cost $300? There seem to be a
plethora of decent and affordable corded phones (like from Grandstream) but
the search for a cordless unit seems elusive. I purchased a vtech 8100
online only to discover after receiving it that it is locked to vonage
service.

Thank you.

Budget Hotel PBX
I'm considering using asterisk to replace an existing PBX in a 40 room hotel and
would appreciate any comments, corrections or insight before I begin.
Only 8 PSTN connections are initially required but since the guests need dial-up
internet access in the rooms it has to be Frac-T1 as opposed to using FXO ports on
a channel bank.
IP phones are not an option strictly because of price. The

Hotel ethernet via nmcli
Here I sit in my hotel room with my Cubie armv7 server with Centos7.
They have an ethernet cable here, so most likely I will not need to
resort to putting a WiFi USB dongle and trying to master nmcli.
But I have to web authenticate to their portal with my personal
information. Is that possible with a text web browser? I seem to
recall that Centos has one. What to install?

hotel vmail and iax trouble
I have two issues...
First I am working with a hotel software vendor to include an automated way to turn vmail on and off while clearing it at the same time. The vendor is looking to interface via serial cable as they currently do with Mitel systems. i am willling to work with them on an IP interface but I am not so sure on how to implement it in asterisk. Does anyone know of a way that may be

Hotel Setup?
I am working with a small inn (under 50 rooms) that is next to a ski
resort. The inn just had Cat5e Homeruns to each room installed, with a
patch panel in the basement. Now it's my job to connect each of the
those rooms to the Internet. I think I have a Cisco switch that I can
do Private VLANS with, however I thought of another solution.
Has anybody seen or does anybody know of a VoIP

Histograms with strings, grouped by repeat count (w/ data)
Hello R gurus,
I just spent my first weekend wrestling with R, but so far have come
up empty handed.
I have a dataset that represents file downloads; it has 4 dimensions:
date, filename, email, and country. (sample data below)
My first goal is to get an idea of the frequency of repeated
downloads. Let me explain that. Some people tend to download
multiple times, e.g. if the download fails

VoIP in hotels
Our company can offer VoIP to premises and domestic users and bill the
premises as a whole. We need something to enable the hotel owner to bill
each guest in a hotel in real time. What solutions do exist presently?
(PS: Our radius (and every telephony equipment outside the hotel) does not
recognise which room in the hotel initiated the international (VoIP) call,
so that's the main problem

Quotation request: 12 KHz signal generation for billing purposes.
Could anyone quote a price for the following project.
We should be able to generate a specific (say 12Khz) signal at certain
intervals (calculated using a price/rate table on a mySQL database) DURING
an ongoing conversation.
The conversation is to be marked (start and end) with specific signals as
well. This is a requirement for special hotel applications where a device
counts the signals to

TE410P E1 PRI problem
Hi everyone!

Here is my configuration and messages taken from Asterisk startup. The E1 PRI trunk is connected to our national telecom company here in Croatia. When I call from outside over this trunk to my company I get 'error in connection' respnse. In the same moment I can't see anything in Asterisk, nothing that will tell me that the call reached Asterisk. I think there is a

Set caller ID for outgoing PRI calls
Hallo!
Finally we have E1 PRI connected to our Asterisk box. Now I have one
question.
My internal extensions (_XXX) are SIP phones connected to Asterisk. Our
telco routes some public numbers (_71602XX and others) to our Asterisk
via E1. Some internal extensions can be reached from outside using
public numbers (e.g. 7160234 -> 200), and some others cannot. Everyone
can call outside

RoR - Search Forms with Checkboxes, display appropriate results
I have a form that allows me to search a hotel by city or name and by
rating through radio buttons. It all works.
However, my hotel model has_one :facility, this facility model is
composed by several boolean fields (for example, roomservice:boolean
restaurant:boolean and so on)
The question is, I want to add checkbox fields for each facility I have

booting & mdadm-1.2 metadata
Hello,
few days ago I returned from FreeBSD where I was using ZFS/GPT disks in raid-1
array back to (Arch)Linux and installed syslinux as bootloader for booting from
single MBR disk.
Now, after I finished with migration of my /home data, I'd like to deploy both
of my 1TB disks using ext4 (btrfs is not stable enough) under LVM2 using raid-1
array & GPT by having all my partitions (/boot,
