AstLinux + RT PREEMPT
Hello everyone, (I first sent this several hours ago, it appears it got lost. Thought I'd give it a second try). Now that astlinux-trunk has been coming along very nicely, I thought I would try to add support for hard realtime capabilities to AstLinux. If everything works (and there are no problems with zaptel), with a little tweaking this should improve the audio quality on systems

Re: [Astlinux-users] British English Female files ready for download
Mark, While these samples are pretty good they do not work "out of the box" - there are a couple of issues: 1. the samples are 44100 samples/second and Asterisk needs them to be at 8000 samples/second. This is what happens if you prune out all of the Amercian voicemail prompts and substitute yours: Asterisk 1.2.7, Copyright (C) 1999 - 2006 Digium, Inc. and others. Created by Mark

AstLinux 0.2.8 released
Hello everyone, I have just finished up work on a new release of AstLinux, the embedded/live cd/minimal built from scratch Linux distro centered around Asterisk. Most of the work for 0.2.8 has been on the ISO image (live/install cd), the init system and further system customization with new rc.conf variables. - The ISO image now allows you to install AstLinux to a local disk/CF card,

I have made a lot of init changes, added some applications, and of course - updated to asterisk-1.0.3, zaptel-1.0.3, and libpri-1.0.3. You may also like the "improved" website (don't expect much more) ;). Find more below:

Hello everyone, Please forgive the exclamation points but I have been battling this one off and on for about four days now. Sorry for the cross post. It all started with a box of IP 501s. I contacted my reseller and obtained the latest BootRom and SIP firmware. Unzipped, configured, copied over to my FTP server (running AstLinux, of course). The phone booted, so far so good. Updated

Asterisk + AstLinux testing images now available
Hello everyone, A few days ago on *-dev I proposed the idea of making AstLinux images on a routine basis as a test platform for Asterisk. The ultimate goal is to have a web driven interface (accessible to the public) where users can download the latest and greatest versions of Asterisk (HEAD, STABLE, and recently 1.2.0-beta*), apply optional patches from Mantis (or elsewhere), compile

Module wcfxs - is it not part of astlinux?
Hello I am (attempting) to run the astlinux version of Asterisk on a VIA embedded platform. I have a TDM04B and pretty sure zaptel.conf and zapata.conf setup OK. They worked fine with same card in traditional PC anyway. I think need the module wcfxs for a Digium TDM04B card. Is this module not part of astlinux? Do I need to download it? Or is it in opt? I see wctdm - but think that is
