T1 Wire Level Tapping
I am trying to do a wire level tap on T1 equipment using digum equipment. So far most call monitoring hardware for call centers try to stay on the analog side requiring a lot of rewiring. I have already posted to the list about T1 "bridging" using DAC's support in the zaptel drivers. I still don't know if I can spy on channel information since I don't have any digium

Heartbeat on Digium T1 PCI cards?
I want to make sure that when an asterisk server dies that I am not left with a huge bill afterward for not hanging up a long distance call correctly. Are digium cards somehow set up to recieve a heartbeat from the drivers and if it skips a few beats it will take the t1 down in a way that would terminate the call? Shane

Zaptel DACS and FDL
I have the following configuration: CLEC -> T-1 -> Asterisk -> Adtran Channel Bank -> (analog) -> Nortel Don't complain that it's ugly. I've already done plenty of that. The CLEC manages their Adtran remotely and needs to be able to continue to do so. I assume they use FDL to do the management. We are using the Zaptel DACS/DACSRBS to cross connect some of the

ILEC Interconnect
Hello Everyone, We are looking to interconnect with a local ILEC over an OC-n transport layer. They basically gave us two options in terms of mapping the SONET to the DS3: * VT1.5s mapping * DS1s mapping The second option is quite clear. We would MUX the connection, and plug the lines into qaud t1 cads etc... The tech mentioned that with the second option we would also need a DACS to convert

Xen or XCP
I was wondering if someone could direct me to a resource or provide their own insights to differences between Xen and XCP. I have used Xen to go virtual on a majority of my infrastructure (Except for one NT 4 box) and was wondering if going with XCP would bring about any major benefits? For instance, from what I understand from what I have read, XCP allows you to create resource pools. The

E1/T1 Tapping call recording in Asterisk - Testing needed
Howdy, I've spent a couple of days writing a new feature for Asterisk that allows to record calls in T1 or E1 PRI lines using Asterisk connected to tapped lines. This means that you don't have to install anything in the PBX's/telco equipment that is going to be monitored, all you need is to install a device like the PN 633 Tap Connection Adapter that is available for example, from

128 bit Document IDs (Please don't hurt me)
I apologize for what may be a sore subject. 4 billion documents is a heck of a lot. 64 bit vs 32 bit would be an incredibly large database with an average document and term size. Why 128 bit? Simply for address space. Mapping a UUID (128 bit) or MongoDB ObjectID (96 bit) directly into the Xapian document space removes the need for referencing one or the other from one or both. I see a common

Always via logical expressions. In this case you can use the logical expression myDF$b != "0" to give you a vector of TRUE/FALSE B. > On Sep 25, 2017, at 8:00 AM, Shane Carey <careyshan at gmail.com> wrote: > > This is super, really helpfull. Protection switching on PRIs.
Has anyone figured out a way to instantaneously swing over PRIs bearing calls in progress to another media gateway without dropping them? Obviously, this would require a DACS of some sort. But I am thinking that it is possible to swing T1s over in a DACS without actually causing the endpoint to reframe as long as the other endpoint is kept in sync. So, it'd be nice, for example, to bring

Net2Phone equipment and different VOIP providers
Hello we are a small call center with only 8 lines we use max4 and the 2-2 port gateways from net2phone . There equipment is good but we are getting hit by lower cost competition. We need to be able to compete. We have a couple of providers who are 50% less in some cases even more. So it makes sense that we would like to be able to compete . Since we have spent quite a bit of money on existing

PRI Test Equipment
Hey All, I am looking for some advice on setting up a test lab for Asterisk systems that I plan to install at client sites. Most clients will be using PRI. Does anyone have any suggestions on equipping a lab to be able to test Asterisk servers with T1 cards and SIP phones? I have seen some test equipment around the internet, but I'm not sure what the best is. I have also thought about

FW: my printers are still paused in Win2k and WinNT 4.0
Jim, Not only does the buffer scrapper code show paused if the Printer name is something like CSQ_office_a but if the host has off in the name like --> hp@mercylaboffice.pa-ucl.com it puts it on pause... Hi, Lets say this was a dataframe where I had two columns a <- c("<0.1", NA, 0.3, 5, "Nil") b <- c("<0.1", 1, 0.3, 5, "Nil") And I just want to remove the rows from the dataframe where there were NAs in the b column, what is the syntax for doing that? Thanks in advance On Fri, Sep 22, 2017 at 5:04 PM, Shane Carey <careyshan at
