Unusual DTMF behavior
We are having an issue where DTMF is not being sent out right away and the tone duration is inconsistent. For a test we send a '5', then a second later we send a '9', and then five seconds later we send a '5'. If you look at the logs below you can see the first '5' is played right away, then the '9' comes in and gets queued, but it doesn't start

Asterisk 1.4.5 Inserting Random Digits in Dialed Number!
Eeeeck! Asterisk is inserting random digits in dialed numbers. So far I've seen it insert a 2 after the STD (area) code and insert an extra 6 or 7 in the STD code. It's pretty repeatable although the inserted number changes. My Config is: Asterisk 1.4.5, Zaptel 1.4.3, Digium TE205P (rev 02). There's an ISDN PBX on the second span and a BRI euroisdn on the first. Calls from the

Parking in Asterisk 12.0.0
Hi I'm trying to get the rebuilt parking functionality to work in Asterisk 12.0.0. In Asterisk 11.6.0 I managed to get a call to get parked by adding a dynamic feature in features.conf for the DMTF sequence *# which called a macro in extensions.conf, which then runned the ParkAndAnnounce application, and the call got parked. The syntax for ParkAndAnnounce I used was this (I don't

[LLVMdev] Coalescing and VNInfo
I've hit a bug in a refactored version of coalescing and I'm trying to understand what is going on. In particular, I'm curious about this line in SimpleRegisterCoalescing.cpp: 00710 LHSValsDefinedFromRHS[VNI] = RHS.getLiveRangeContaining(VNI->def-1)->valno; Why VNI->def-1? The bug I'm seeing is that RHS returns a NULL LiveRange because it doesn't contain

run many linear regressions against the same independent variables in batch
R function lm(response ~ term) allows me to run a linear regression on a single response vector. For example, I have recent one year historical prices for a stock and S&P index. I can run regression of the stock prices (as response vector) against the S&P index prices (as term vector). Now assume I have 1000 stocks to run the above regressions (against the same S&P index prices).

Illegal filename characters
Does anyone have a solution for the problem of file and directory names containing characters which are OK in DOS/Windows but illegal (or at least unwise) in Unix? I have Windows clients who have written directory names containing "$" characters to Samba shares on a Solaris box. This is fine for the clients, but plays havoc with Solaris programs needing to access the files, eg. backups

C6 KPTI cpuinfo flag?
Noticed C6 had a kernel update on Friday. 2.6.32-696.18.7.el6.x86_64 What is the flag in /proc/cpuinfo that indicates the KPTI patch for Meltdown CVE-2017-5754 for C6? Some distros are using "kaiser" some like Fedora are using "pti". Also noticed some (like Fedora) are displaying "cpu_insecure" under the bugs: heading of cpuinfo.
