Plantronics and Snom RF feedback
Hey all, after hooking up some Plantronics to some Snom's (3 320's 1 360),
I noticed my client is having some form of feed back on the phone.
Because of Snom's "inner oddities" this is how I got it to work.
Plantronic --> RJ11 --> SnomHandset Port (on Snom Base)
Handset --> Plantronic jack (bottom base in the front)
If I placed Plantronic(RJ11) --> Snom's

RJ11 Pin 1 is on the left when looking at the contact points.
Plantronics Pin 1 is on the left when looking at the contacts (through
the plastic sheild)
My multimeter battery is low, so YMMV, but:
Pin's 1,4 are connected with ~160 ohms
Pin's 2,3 are connected with ~1400 ohms
On my Plantronics head set.

OT: Wireless headset / phone combination
I've been asked for recommendations for a small call centre, an ethernet SIP
deskphone with a wireless headset.
Similar approach would be a mobile phone with bluetooth head set.
Either I've not looked hard enough, or there isn't much on offer.

[SPAM] - Looking for Wireless Heaset for Polycom 501 - Email found in subject
I like the Plantronics CS55/HL10, it's a DECT Wireless boom headset with
a lifter kit for the phone, works like a charm, great range.

WiFi VoIP Handsets..
Hi,
I am investigating getting a wifi VoIP phone because its may be a better
option than an ATA and a cordless phone..
Does anyone have any experience with the whats out there??
Do they support things like WPA etc??
I have heard the battery life can be a problem.. Is this the case?
Thanks..

Polycom 601 + Headset
Hi List,
I am using a Plantronics CS50 head set with my Polycom 601. I use the button on it to pick up calls. Is there any way to have the phone set up that if I pick up with the button on the headset that it sends the call to the headset and that I don't have to press the headset button on the phone every time ?
Thanks.

Headset Recommendation
Does anyone have a recommendation for a headset that plugs into the Mic/Line-out port on a PC?
Ideally something like the Plantronics SupraPlus. I'd prefer Monaural instead of stereo, and cheap in price but not in quality.
Thanks for any suggestions...

I've had pretty good luck with the basic models of Plantronics
headsets. They tend to be well made. The Logitech stuff I've
bought has often broken within a year.

REALTIME and VARIABLES
Hi,
I'm having some problem with realtime:
let's say I have a dialplan like this
[globals]
IPPHONES=_3XX
[sip]
exten=>${IPPHONES},1,Answer
A call from ip phone 300 comes in, and it's been answered.
Then I "switch" the sip context to realtime, putting the exten in the
db and using the variable name for this as in the file version.

Bluetooth headset in handsfree modewith SJPhoneorX-lite
I am able to pickup, hangup, and flash, using the buttons on the phone
with all of the soft clients and both of the headsets I mentioned below.
I don't believe I had to change anything on the client side, just had to
get the ctp (cordless telephone profile) working in the bluetooth stack,
which was a pita. I struggled with the same issue...I could use the
headset, but that's not very handy

Bluetooth headset in handsfree modewith SJPhoneor X-lite
Hi,
You need to have completely replaced the Microsoft driver, because it
doesn't support the headset or ctp Bluetooth profiles. This gave me
fits! I followed the instructions at
http://www.windowsdevcenter.com/pub/a/windows/2005/07/05/bluetooth.html
and it works with both a Plantronics and a Motorola Headset, and I can
answer calls with idefisk, eyebeam, x-lite, and kapanga.
