Can Asterisk and new ShoreTel 6 talk to each other?
I've been anxiously awaiting ShoreTel version 6 because of it expanded
use of SIP. My plan was to upgrade out ShoreTel server at our main
office to version 6, and use Asterisk in our small remote offices, and
have them all be able to directly dial each other's extension. (i.e.
CEO in main office can dial ext 401 and get directly to secretary at
small remote office, and vice-versa)

Sorting a matrix on two columns
Hello,
If a matrix with 5 columns has been defined and the first two columns
need to be sorted in ascending order, how can this be achieved whilst
ensuring the
other 3 columns data are in relative position to the sorted columns?

AGI: getting the return code from an exec()'d application?
So I hacked up the Dial app to return a numeric return code instead of
changing contexts based on a number being busy or unanswered. The purpose
for this modified dial app, which I call AGIDial, is to help me concoct a
"follow-me" type of application. The app returns -1 for a completed call,
0 for unanswered, or 1 for busy.
Well, I hooked the thing up to an AGI script that uses perl and

Netware CIFS nlm - linux samba
Dear Gurus,
We're having bizarre problems/behaviour. Admittedly we have an unusual
set-up:
- users on linux desktops (RedHat/KDE) mounting files over SMB using
samba-2.2.5-10 -client and -common rpms.
- files are on a SAN, clustered behind 2 netware servers (6.5), wihch run the
cifs.nlm (netware guy has gone home - can't tell you the version just now)
Files are spontaneously

IAX or SIP - connecting two Asterisk servers together
Hello Folks;
Again, excuse my cluelessness.
I have an Asterisk server in the US - and I want to connect it to one in
Europe.
Here is my scenario:
1. call a phone number, my Asterisk box in the US answers
2. perhaps a 'please wait' voice message
3. it dials an extension on the other Asterisk box in Europe.
I am not looking for someone to do this for me, I am just not really

Trouble with word-wrapping and other Tinn-R options
I'm running R 2.7.1 with Tinn-R 2.0.0.7 and Windows XP Professional. I
have write privileges to the folders containing my R installation, my
Tinn-R installation, and my Tinn-R initialization settings. I installed R
first, followed by Tinn-R. I have modified my RProfile.site file (in
Tinn-R, R>Configure>Permanent).
My previous installations of Tinn-R and R worked fine, but on a

htb: class 10007 isn''t work conserving ?!
I''m getting the following error/warning at some point in my config
script, and I''m not sure which class it is referring to.
htb: class 10007 isn''t work conserving ?!
I [think I] understand that htb is a non-work-conserving qdisc, and I
[think I] have configured things so that every htb qdisc I instantiate
limits the bandwidth, so I don''t understand why this

Supporting different groups on different subnets
I have a query about allowing different user groups access on diffeent
subnets.
We are running Samba 2.04b to serve a number of Windows clients. We have
two different networks (running from two seperate network cards), one for
staff and one for students. Currently, Samba is set up to allow staff to
log in from one network, and students from the other. This is achieved by

I don''t know what I would do to try to reproduce this condition; it only
appeared once.

rsync --delete-existing needed
Hi,
I made the mistake of doing an rsync of a directory into the wrong
destination,
so that the destination became a mix of two directories of unrelated files.
Top unravel the mess, I could need something like a --delete-existing
option.
The semantics would be to delete at the destination ONLY those files that
exists at the
source.
I tried to concoct a combination of options that would do

Configuring interfaces for Samba-By-Example Ch 3
I have spent a solid two weeks trying to implement the "Secure Office Networking" example in the book "Samba-3 by Example, to no avail. In the example, the system sets the server up as a Samba PDC, and also as a router for two local subnets. There are three network interfaces on the computer: eth0 for the WAN/Internet, firewalled; eth1 & eth2 for two LAN subnets, bound to

list archive anomaly
At the list archive page (http://mailman.ds9a.nl/pipermail/lartc/) there
is an amazing message from the future: the year 2032 (q1).
Not that I know anything about mailman, but someone might want to
"maintain" that.

WG: parsing fix for spoolss & samba-2.2.5
I can only confirm, that the bug still there (since version 2.2.3). I also
have exactly the same problem. With samba version 2.2.2 was OK.
I will be fantastic, if someone can help to fix it. Thanks!
Best regards

Multiple IF statements - is there a better alternative?
Hello,
Rather than rely on a set of IF statements (as there could be many -
please see below)), could the following be done in a different/better
way?
InternalMean <- mean(data1[,3])
if (InternalMean == 0)
Intresult = 1
if (InternalMean > 0 & InternalMean < 1)
Intresult = .95
if (InternalMean >= 1 & InternalMean < 2)
Intresult = .85
if (InternalMean >= 2

AW: duplex settings [ was Re: parsing fix for spoolss & s amba-2.2.5]
Hi Jerry,
It seems that the "samba-2.2.5-printing.patch" has only fixed the problem
for PCL drivers.
With PS drivers (Laserjet 4050 PS) are the duplex & tray settings still
missing.
Best regards,
Khiem
