Match a Numer - then continue with dialplan
Anyone know if there's a way to match a dialplan extension, execute some code, say set a variable, and then continue with the dialplan? I want to set a variable when the dialplan flows beyond a certain context. This would be a great feature. Doug.

Re: Match a Numer - then continue with, dialplan
I think you're making it far too difficult. What I do is something like this: [outgoing] include => internal include => longdistance ;Always include internal first, as matches from the first include ;will be used first. This allows you to make sure your internal ;extensions don't go out your trunks. [longdistance] ignorepat => 9; include => default; already included from

OT: Polycom Registration Weirdness
This is a SER/Polycom question, but I hoped we may have some SER guru's here... I have a series of Polycom phones that are tying to register with OpenSER. The phone sends a REGISTER message, and OpenSER replies with Unauthorised (all normal). The phone re-sends the REGISTER with the credentials, and OpenSER sends Ok. Here's where it goes downhill. The polycom's appearance display

'500 Internal Server' Error on SIP NOTIFY
Is anyone getting '500 Internal Server' errors back from their Polycom phones when Asterisk sends a SIP NOTIFY message to them? I called Polycom tech support, who where utterly useless. Of course Polycom won't officially support it anyway, as they only support Asterisk Business Edition. We're using 1.2.9, but it's been ocurring for quite some time. We have about 35 phones and

Astsee v0.1 released - an Asterisk channel monitor for linux/X windows
Hiya everyone. I have been working on a fun little app to watch what's going on in your asterisk box via its manager interface. There's a screenshot up and some info at http://sitkavoip.com/astsee/ -- Sorry it requires allegro, but I was more keen about getting the ideas down than worrying about the framework. Comments/questions welcome, but probably off-list is best unless they

Session Progress Transmission to Phone
Asterisk doesn't seem to be relaying 183, Session Progress SIP messages received from an upstream host back to the phone. Anyone know why? Here's the SIP message that Asterisk receives, and it does nothing with it. It doesn't pass it back to the phone. <-- SIP read from xxx.yyy.142.234:5060: SIP/2.0 183 Session Progress Via: SIP/2.0/UDP

Asterisk Sends 180-RINGING to UA even withprogressinband=yes
Andrew, I don't think it's a Polycom issue. We took Asterisk out of the picture and had our Polycom phones communicate directly with an Audiocodes PSTN gateway. Unlike Asterisk, the audiocodes do not send 180 Ringing before sending 183 Session Progress, and the polycom's play the correct tones in this case. We WANT Asterisk to send progress tones in band. In our case it IS needed.

I am running centos 4.x and 5 x86_64 and using the script below and the slider bar at the bottom I cannot get fonts bigger than 50. someone else posted a followup and said he has the same issue. What can be happening here??? xlsfonts shows that bigger fonts are available. How can I get bigger fonts??? Note - I had to do a "yum install tk" also... Thanks, Jerry
