metermaid patch
I'd like to be able to use my Snom 360 LEDs to view the status of
parking slots, so I'm trying to install the "metermaid" patch
(http://bugs.digium.com/view.php?id=5779). Can someone help an svn
newbie figure out how to install this patch? I've done the following:
svn checkout http://svn.digium.com/svn/asterisk/team/oej/metermaids

Question Regarding Visual Park Functionality - Hardware/Software
Hello List!
I am hoping someone may be able to assist with the following feature I am
looking to implement:
I would like to use a visual park function if possible, here's how I see it
working....
-> Call comes into caller A
-> Caller A places the call in orbit (or park) by dialing 700
-> A message is then sent to illuminate a line on each of the phones in this
office indicating a

call parking "hint"
Hi,
Is it possible to use the hint priority to allow call parking slots to
be monitored on (for example) Snom indicator lamps? How do you refer to
the slots (i.e., what is the "channel") in the hint?

Asterisk 1.2.37 + BLF + ParkedCalls + SPA962
Greetings all.
First off, thank you for your time on this. I have spent literally 12
hours searching every forum and article I can find, and I'm going
cross-eyed, so I need to bother everyone with this.
I am running * 1.2.37, and I am trying to get the hints working, so I
can turn one of my SPA962's LED's red when someone parks a call.
I have used Button #3 on my SPA962 to

Grandstream GXP2000 -- What's the Catch?
We are doing a medium sized office in NYC with 80 phones. The customer
originally requested Polycom 601 phones. The COO also authorized us to
purchase 2 Grandstream GXP2000 phones for the mail room. We find these
phones much easier to configure and work with asterisk . They support
BLF & intercom right out of the box. They can also be centrally managed
and provisioned. They also sound great

BLF and call-limit in 1.8
Hello
We have recently upgraded our internal PBX from 1.4 to 1.8. This made the BLF lamps on our Polycom phones stop working. After a lot of googling and a lot of testing, I have been unable to find a solution.
I did try to change the call-limit value from 4 to 1, and this actually made BLF work (noone suggested this, and what documantation I can find states that this option is deprecated). This

asterisk call parking + SNOM lighted buttons?
I'm trying to get call parking working with the lighted buttons on the
SNOM 200. I have set the 5 buttons to "Park Orbit", for extensions 700-704.
Pressing the first button (x700) does park the call. However, the
remaining buttons (x701-704) don't allow me to pick up parked calls, or
show parking status via the LEDs. I can only pick up parked calling by
manually dialing the

Spoofing a BLF Signal?
Is there anyway to "spoof" a BLF signal to a phone from within a
dialplan? That being so I can turn a BLF light on or off on a phone
when a certain thing happens in a dialplan?

BLF trouble
Hello,
I have some trouble with the BLF indicator.
I have two phones that use the same hint:
13 => hint,1,SIP/phone13&SIP/phone13-wlan
This works great from the asterisk side, but it seems the status
change is too quick for the attached Grandstream-phones. When I ring the
extension the hint changes to "Ringing". The Grandstream blinks. Great.
Now, when someone picks up one of

Having problems with BLF
Hi,
I'm having a problem getting a snom 300 to work with BLF (extension
222). I've set it to watch extension 220 in the function key config
pages as per the wiki (BLF, <sip:220 at server.com>) but I can't get the
light to come on when 220 is ringing. The SIP trace page doesn't show
anything coming from my PBX when 220 is ringing or in use. Any help
much appreciated as this

blf-crypt
Hi
The blf-crypt password schema mentioned in the docs could be a solution to my auth problem. However, the docs state that actual support depends on the glibc. Mine apparently doesn't.
Does support depend on the glibc's version (mine is 2.15-r2)?
Maybe someone with access to a box with a good enough glibc could do the following and post the hash for the plain password "test"?

BLF sharing between Asterisk 11 and 13
I have servers setup in versions 11 and 13. Between two 11 servers, I had no issues sharing BLF, and assigning the hints on my Cisco 525G2 phones.
I've upgraded to 13 on one of these servers, and now can't share BLF. I get something like...

Polycoms and BLF
I'm trying to get the BLF to work correctly on my Polycom phones. I
have the buddy watch working correctly, but can't get the BLF to change
based on the state...
Example:
When an extension is ringing, I get the same 'red light' that I get when
the extension is actually in use...
I was wondering if anyone had any experience with getting the Polycom
phone to

BLF support in Asterisk and early/confirmed/terminated/proceeding NOTIFY states.
I have a setup with Yealink phones & Asterisk Server (all latest patches).
I am using BLF to display the states of other phones. While this works
MOST of the time (busy, being called) it does NOT work when a phone is
NOT regisstered at all, the yealink phones display a green dot EVEN if a
phone is turned off (try explain this to users, they are shaking their
heads!!!)
I can see on the

SLA and Flashing BLF
I understand that the Asterisk SLA implementation is somewhat different
from most key systems and PBX systems. I also understand that in
Asterisk, one does not put an SLA line on hold since it is just a MeetMe
conference. However, is there any way to make the BLF flash when the
answering party on the Asterisk system presses the hold key on their set
and leaves the calling party alone in the

Strange behaviour with BLF-CRYPT and SHA*-CRYPT pasword schemas

this is less of a bug report or a help request, but we would like to know if
someone can explain the following:

default_pass_scheme = BLF-CRYPT
password hash in database : BLF-CRYPT
login = works
default_pass_scheme = SHA512 or SHA256-CRYPT

Cisco 7961 + 7914, speeddials, BLF & Asterisk 1.4?
Hi,
Does anyone have any experience with a Cisco 7961 + 7914 Operator
Console setup and speeddials/BLF on Asterisk 1.4? Would appreciate
feedback if this works reliably. I have a 7961 on skinny registering on
an 1.4.19 box with chan_sccp and speeddials work fine so that part seems
ok. I have no experience with the BLF part.
>From googling around it seems that BLF on the 7914 only works with

BLF and realtime SIP buddies
Hello list,
Can I do something like this for BLF functionality :
[test-blf]
exten => _XX,hint,Macro(GetSIPaccount,${EXTEN})
exten => _XX,hint,SIP/${SIPACCOUNT}
GetSIPaccount is a macro that looks at a MySQL-database for the realtime
table sip_buddies where the SIPusername is taken from.
It works great for internal calls... but how about BLF-functionality ??
Feedback is appreciated !

High volume BLF - Suggestions?
Hi,
We have a user who is putting large call volumes through Asterisk, and
wants to BLF monitor up to 90 extensions. We are struggling to find a
handset that can keep up with Asterisk :)
1) Is there a handset that will do this?
2) Is there a different (standard) way to send BLF and allow directed pickups?
2a) Or even a handset specific way?
Asterisk handles the BLF volume fine, even on quite
