A new era in Radio! Don't miss The Experimental Beat! (fwd)
Hello, Excuse the blatent self-promotion and certain degree of off-topicness, but I thought people here might find this of interest. We just recorded a radio show using Fideliphone (www.fideliphone.com) which uses CELT. Not sure exactly which version but the most recent release of Fideliphone was in May so it's probably not the most recent version. Anyway it performed beautifully! I

survival analysis and censoring
In your particular case I don't think that censoring is an issue, at least not for the reason that you discuss. The basic censoring assumption in the Cox model is that subjects who are censored have the same future risk as those who were a. not censored and b. have the same covariates. The real problem with informative censoring are the covaraites that are not in the model; ones that

Help Me Beat NT--Red Hat Performance Help Needed
I have tried all I can think of to resolve a samba performance problem. Below is a description of the problem. The Red Hat server is actually a higher performance machine than the NT machine, though they are close in capabilities: > When I first installed 5.0 I notices slow samba performance. Everything You Need for JEdit/R Edit Mode
After a couple of e-mails asking how to get this to work, I decided that I would send out a quick message with the stuff you need and instructions on how to use it. I've attached the two files you need to get the R syntax coloring and indenting to work with JEdit. They are just XML files. Here's what you do: 1) Copy these two files to your .jedit/modes directory. Depending on what

How To Beat DocBook Into Submission
To better understand how to work with DocBook, I'd like to suggest that you check out ZooLib's DocBook documentation from its SourceForge CVS, and use my work as an example to help you with your work. I just went through the whole painful process of getting it all to work. Please learn from my example! See especially the files: zoolib/doc/README.txt zoolib/doc/cookbook/Makefile

How to beat Google aka Xapian & Natural Language Processing.
Xapians! If tomorrow Xapian search engine would achieved the same performance and result in searches as Google we would not be able to beat Google, because we would create only a copy of the searches that already exists from Google search engine. However there is a way to beat anyone, and there is a way to beat Google successfully as well just do not give up. Some see it as implementing Ajax, or

MKL seems to beat ATLAS, but some problems... (was RE: linkin g R against MKL)
Hi all, I managed to at least compile R-patched (2002-01-08) against MKL 5.1 (not beta). The release notes for MKL said that the libraries are threaded, and the test codes needed to be linked against the pthread library. Therefore I added -lpthread flag in config.site for R-patched, and the compile went through. However, when I did make check, it choked on a call to La.eigen, complaining that

Upgrade ONLY asterisk from an AAH install
Hey all, is it safe to run the asterisk-update.sh script that comes with AAH to upgrade only the asterisk binaries? Doug has chimed in a few times saying 'upgrade' when I post problems, but Aah makes this really painful. I'm using AAH 2.0 & am fighting a number of 'bugs' that only seem to be manifesting in my installation. Can I safely upgrade just asterisk and not any of

Hello, We are working on the Radio station project and we are trying to implement the Live Video Streaming module using Icecast server with VLC player.
