Bind on non-DC host (formerly: bind 9.11.b2 with samba 4.4.5)
oki doki. Thank you for precision.
That kind of limitation should be added to the wiki as I would have already
tried to move Bind to a non-DC host if I was able to find to to do that.
And if I thought about that, some have thought about that before me.
With easy virtualisation as we have now, with the idea to separate task one
different systems to lower risk endured by each system, it seems to me

install rJava in Ubuntu 11.10
I am trying to install rJava on a WUBI Ubuntu 11.10 installation of R with no luck. I was originally trying to install the iplots package and encountered this rJava problem.
Code used:
install.packages("rJava")
(CRAN mirrors --Canada(ON) and Canada(QC2)
I installed iplots with no problem on Windows 7.
I know just about zero about Ubuntu or Linux in general so I have no idea what I

Do ser + asterisk_b2bua work ?
Dear ALL:
I find a program named "asterisk_b2bua" on
http://developer.berlios.de/projects/b2bua/
And I also download them(two components) and try to test it.
But I have not enough knowledge about asterisk. It seems a Software PBX.
Does asterisk_b2bua work? Does anybody ever try it?
I have questions about my scenario.

Cannot receive files from server 3.0.7 to W2K
Hello,
My problem is the following :
I have a Debian (testing distribution) on which I used to have Samba
server v3.0.2a
it worked perfectly with my other machine which is running Windows 2000.
I recently made a global packages update on my Debian machine, which
apparently changed the Samba server to 3.0.7
Since then, I have been absolutely unable to retrieve files from the
debian server to the

win32-taskscheduler alpha
Well, I''m going to release the first version of win32-taskscheduler today.
For now, I''ve kept the API about the same as it originally was because I was
spending way too much time futzing around and I wanted to get something out
the door.
For now, I''m calling this a BETA release, with the API subject to change.
See the ''Future Plans'' section of

x86_64 SSE2/SSE41 optim not used
Hi Guys,
In stream_decoder.c when assigning lpc restore function,
only IA32 processor benefits from SS2 and SSE4.1 optimization.
Shouldn't it be the case for x86_64 processor as well ?
Thanks,

Bind on non-DC host (formerly: bind 9.11.b2 with samba 4.4.5)
Hi Andrew,
Sorry about that but I have to ask: why that would not be an option?

Fwd: Re: Problem with Samba4 DB
Oki Doki. First the fact you can't add new DNS entry in your DNS zones is
not a blocking point to remove a DC. It's a blcoking point to add new
entries. Now you are the one deciding if you would remove it or not, but
seriously, for me that's not a reason to keep up it running: you can
replace it by another DC which will do exactly the same job and if you are
lucky enough you would be
