MOH question w/Cisco 79xx phones
Hi Everyone.... Got a newbie type question regarding MOH & Cisco phones. I'm still new to Asterisk (very new in fact) & built up a AsteriskNOW box just to get something going. My simple test system has just 3 Cisco phones a 7905, 7940 & 7960. - Everything's running SIP. The 3 phones can call each other fine. - Can even leave (and retreive) voicemail messages. - No problems.

Cisco 7960 phones.
I have found a phone that I wish I had not! This is by far the worst phone to setup. I have finally upgraded it to Sip but once this got done it I am not able to get it unlocked so I can enter the rest of the settings. So if anyone out there can tell me how to setup my DNS server to tell it where the tftp is located (Windows 2000 DNS server) or please let me have the default password. I called

OT - force Cisco phones to reboot
Hello to all Does someone knows how to force the Cisco IP phones (7940 and 7960) to reboot weekly or monthly? I think this would be useful because sometimes we change the configuration settings in the TFTP, but the phone just check the TFTP when he restarts... Thanks Jo?o

Asterisk and Cisco IP Phones
Hello Everyone, I want to start using Asterisk with Cisco IP Phones 7960 / 7940/ and 7905. Any info or help is appreciated. I know I'll have to use SIP but if I want to use the phones off site meaning from my home for example, how can this be done? Also, regarding external lines what are the options for Asterisk? Thanks Walid -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment

Cisco 7940/7960 phone and conference calling ?
I am guessing you are running without reinvite's, I'm running with reinvite's with latest CVS release and 79x0 phones without any issues with conferencing... > -----Original Message----- > From: Adam Rothschild [mailto:asr@latency.net] > Sent: 08 October 2003 15:49 > To: asterisk-users@lists.digium.com > Subject: [Asterisk-Users] Cisco 7940/7960 phone and >

Problem with Cisco Phones
I'm willing to bet you are forcing the use of G729. 7940 and 7960 phones can only do a single G729 channel, and if you require G729 for the second leg of a conference, it will fail. Problem with Cisco Phones
Next step is packet capture to see if there is a clue as to the cause of the failure in the SIP signalling. Cisco 7940/7960 phone and conference calling?
Hello, Anyone else having problems with the Cisco 7940/7960 (5.3 firmware) and the latest CVS build, placing conference calls from the phone? I've noticed the party on the Cisco phone's side will sound very garbled, and delayed by several seconds. I haven't begun troubleshooting yet, though I'm able to reproduce this easily... Thanks in advance, -a

Cisco phones and Linksys SRW224P
I'm having problem powering Cisco phone's (7940 and 7905) on Linksys SRW224P switch (with PoE functionality). I have tested three phone's, one is working (7905) and two aren't (7905 and 7940). I have plugged all three phones on same switch port with same cable! Do I need to change anything in phone configuration? Is there something wrong with Linksys switch? How can I troubleshoot

Cisco 79xx users/consultants, 7970G color in particular share information (was: Re: asterisk-users Digest, Vol 44, Issue 3)
The documentation of how to use the 79xx series' phones and features with Asterisk is really hard to find and put together. The higher end phones like 7970 are more like converged PC+phone, a thin client to telephony and network apps. But it's really hard to target it as a development and deployment platform because the docs and techniques are so obscure. There seems to be a fair amount

SIP 400 Bad Request from Cisco 7960/7940
We've been experiencing an odd issue lately. I'm not sure when it started because it's not happening on most calls--it seems confined to a couple of our queues. It's consistent though. Here's the CLI output: -- Got SIP response 400 "Bad Request" back from 192.168.249.94 -- SIP/502-9a58 is circuit-busy I've tried a few different Asterisk versions

Cisco gateways and hairpinning
Hello: Has anyone on this list had to configure hairpinning on a Cisco gateway running IOS 12.2 or 12.3 and using a PRI for connectivity to the PSTN? If so could you tell me how it is done? I'm told this is the source of my call transfer problems and yet I cannot find clear instructions for how the configuration is done. Thanks,Steve -- ISC Network Engineering The University of
