How to disconnect the ISO image using virsh
Hello,
I can attach disc ISO image to cd-rom from virsh.
And I can replace the ISO image from disc1 to disc2 using the 2nd example.
(example)
attach-disk guest01 /root/disc1.iso hdc --driver file --type cdrom
--mode readonly
attach-disk guest01 /root/disc2.iso hdc --driver file --type cdrom
--mode readonly
My question is, how can I disconnect the image from the cdrom drive using virsh.

DomU in it''s own LVM partition fails to boot CentOS 5.2 Dom0/U
I''m trying to do what I think would be relatively simple but can''t seem to
make it work. Essentially I want to create several domU''s running CentOS
each with it''s own LVM partition for increased performance over image files.
Initially I did a test with image files and everything went fine, I booted
the supplied initrd and vmlinuz images installed CentOS from

hello,
I have a test setup with 2 asterisk servers, each having a one snom 100
via sip using it. I`m experimenting on how trunking between them would
work. I have them setup for RSA authentication which I plan to use in
the future.
So I`ve setup the keys and servers seem authenticate to each other. One
is named phila and other hurricane.
Here is what I see on phila:

Eliminating silence suppression(?) on IAX2 calls
We have an Asterisk server that speaks IAX2 to Magrathea to get to the
PSTN. Our local phones are a mix of Cisco 7940s and Grandstream BT100s
all configured for SIP with silence-suppression disabled. Everything
is configured to use a-law encoding. The version is:

Read back of caller ID
I've been looking around for an example of a method of reading back a caller
ID value, but I haven't found anything that doesn't use Festival. I'd rather
not resort to the Mr. Roboto voice if I can avoid it.
Playback of the numbers one at a time is perfectly fine, so I'd like to use
the default female Asterisk voice (the sound files are in place on my
server). Does anyone have

(Resend) Trouble with all linux sip softphones.... And asterisk/linphone/kphone SRPMs
Got no responses to this, but the list seemed to be down for a while, so
here it is again. Sorry for the extra bandwidth!
John
Hi, I've been messing with getting SIP working for days now, with
limited success. I've got Asterisk set up on a remote server with the
echo test. Please try it out to verify I've got the server working
right:

Registering via IAX2 succeeds, but bridging to the registered peer fails
Setup as follows: [private*] - Natting Router - [public*]
[private*] cannot register via IAX2 correctly while [public*] is running.
Status remains UNKNOWN even after minutes, calls from [public*] to
[private*] are not possible.
Console output of [public*]:

Re[2]: --link-dest --inplace updates files without unlinking. What to do?
Ok, thanks. I removed --inplace and --append-verify and kept --link-dest and --partial.
And now the script works exactly as I want: hard-links are not updated, the script is still robust and can
copy large files over unstable links etc, etc.

Re[2]: --link-dest --inplace updates files without unlinking. What to do?
I don't specify --partial-dir. As you can see from the script, rsync at first copies to "in-progress", and then renames this to (for example) 2014-12-01-000000. So, if rsync interrupts, then at the next run the script will end "in-progress" (all partial files will be done) and then will rename this dir to 2014-12-01-000000. So, there never will be partial files in finished

Re[2]: --link-dest --inplace updates files without unlinking. What to do?
No. Now there is no --inplace. So, rsync will never write new file directly into old one (without unlinking). If there already is old file and it needs updating, then rsync will write into something like .file-He4gw, and then it will rename this file to its right name. This new file will not have any hardlinks to old files

This is OK for me. I care about file contents, not metadata.

Asterisk 10.0 & 1.4 - iax codec are not compatible
I'm trying Asterisk 10.0 (as 8.x is not passing PSTN CallerID) and Asterisk 10.0 is no better.
I'm still getting:

Problem with IAX trunking
Hi all,
I'm trying to get IAX2 trunking between two * boxes and am having
extreme difficulty :) What happens is when the sending * server (the one
initiating the call) receives the ACCEPT back from the receiving server
it immediately replies with INVAL. I've checked the code and it seems to
be not matching the accept packet with the relevant item in the iaxs
array due to the following

iaxtel and jitterbuffer
I am trying to work out IAX <--> IAX communications with my * box. I have a
registration with iaxtel and I thought I would start there for my learning.
I am able to call the number for Digium's support line (700-428-6000), but the
sound is horribly chopping. Some reading revealed the jitterbuffer settings,
so I enabled them in iax.conf. I have the following now:

You mean making "cp -al" on the remote and then start rsync to newly created dir with --partial and without --link-dest, --inplace, --append-verify?
What is benefits? Even metadata
