ArtDio IPF-2000 or Sipura SPA-841
I am looking at some lower cost phone to use with Asterisk. What is the ArtDio IPF-2000 or the Sipura SPA-841 like? Also, I see voipsupply.com has an ArtDio IPF-1000 listed, is this a new or an old model? I cannot find any information on it. Adi

ArtDio IPF-2000 unable to send audio to Cisco 7940 until placed on hold and resumed
The issue appears to be between the Cisco 7940 and the ArtDio IPF-2000, when a call is initiated between these phones the ArtDio phone receives the audio stream fine from the Cisco, but the Cisco can't hear anything from the ArtDio, until the Cisco user places the call on hold and then picks the line back up. When the Cisco user places the call on hold, music streams fine from the server to

Exceeding Idle Connections...
I have a machine running 3.0.23c that has been patched to use 700 connections before running out. However, I'm still having issues with idle connections running out. I have roughly 1000 machines on the network that need to access this server (it's a printer server for the high school with ~120 printers shared through CUPS). I'm wondering how I could go about solving the idle

USB bootable (using syslinux)
Hello! I just started using Linux and I like the possibilities it offers. I'm using Suse Linux (no MS Windows installed at all). I also discovered that syslinux is capable of making a USB pendrive bootable (with graphic menus). This is very nice. Since I'm a Windows user (up until now), I have some questions: 1 - I already downloaded syslinux 3.82 How do I install it on my pen drive

My samba box is working perfectly as planned, i have 2 shares one with public acess, no username no password.. and that is working.. my problem is my "admin" share.. with is actually one directory above the public share, that i want read/write access to by anyone that knows the password. i've read everything i can find, share-level security was definately the best choice.. but

Basic Read ONly share with admin write access?
ok.. so i've had a samba share set up on our network for a while with user-level securty and it was working great, but recently there has been the need for a share that is accessible to everyone without the authentication (mostly a media server [aka a hacked xbox] that can broawse the smb network to read avaiable media) this was very easy to implement, but somehow i lost the abilty to

More info from mail_log plugin
HiWe need to track exactly when our users read messages. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to figure out how we can achieve this with Dovecot. Then I saw the mail_log plugin. Is it possible to extend the plugin to also log system flag changes? This would be great, because then we could see in the log files when the Seen flag has been set. Changes in user defined flags would also be interesting

Hi. On my FreeBSD 4.8 configured IPFW2+IPF+IPNAT and I use them all: - IPFW - traffic accounting, shaping, balancing and filtering; - IPFilter - policy routing; - IPNAT - masquerading. I want to know, how IP-packets flow through all of this components? What's the path? incoming: IPFW Layer2 -> IPFW&Dummynet -> IPNAT -> IPFilter ? outgoing: IPFW Layer2 ->

What SW/HW phones support sendtext feature (trying to send speech recognition results back to user)?
Hi, we've proof of conecpt system for speech recognition on Asterisk. We would like to send results of recognition back to user in standard way. Currently we're considering using sendtext command and it works with Firefly. But I'm curious what soft or hard ip phones that can connect to Asterisk support such feature ? Also what softphone would be most suitable for further work in

ipf stopped working on 5.3
I've had ipf working on a few 5.3 servers for quite awhile. Not too long ago some developers had to do some coding work and were coming from dynamic IP's. I (reluctantly) opened up SSH to the world. Immediately I started seeing the attacks where bots of some sort would try to break in with a variety of different users. So, I (thought) I closed it up again and told the developers to use a
