ip rule, fwmark, mangle and src IP
I made a script to test if in a moultiple gateway setup all default connection are up, regardless of the fact that that gateway is the default gw. Suppose adsl1 and adsl2 are present, and all traffic goes by default to adsl1, and you want to test if adsl2 is ok. 1. I use mangles from iptables to mark icmp packets to some test machines 2. I set up a routing table for each adsl 3. I use

Poor creat/delete files performance
Hi, We did some performance test and found the create/delete files performance of btrfs is very poor. The test is that we create 50000 files and measure the file-create time first, and then delete these 50000 files and measure the file-delete time. (The attached file is the reproduce program) The result is following: (Unit: second) Create file performance BtrFS Ext4 Total times:

Question on gems on Mac OSX
Hi all, lately I''ve been working with ROR on a MAC OSX tiger at work, however I have one huge problem with seems to be the root of all my problems whenever I use terminal or iTerm to start workign with ROR. have problems with outgoing calls. When I tried this, the same way you did, I could make calles externally but had no audio each way reguardless of what I tried to pass to the sip provider. Best bet is to use what your sip provider can use or find another provider that that can do g722. That's what I did when I wanted to use g726. my2cents On Tue, Jun 29, 2010 at 2:42 PM, Mindaugas Kezys

Selective Compression/Encryption
Currently compression and I assume if encryption is implemented it is turned on or off during mount. There are however many times when a user may want to select which files/directories they want to compress or encrypt. This will also be helpful when implementing btrfs support in grub for example. We can say the disk can be compressed/encrypted except for /boot so compression/encryption

/home several times not mounted on startup
Hi, on my Debian GNU/Linux (sid) i have (among others) a partition which is mounted (normally at startup via /etc/fstab) on /home. But in a few cases (say six in the last months) /home silently isn't mounted. Since then I have "debug" as option in /etc/fstab. In this cases I log in as root and do a mount -a which works with a few diagnostic messages (see below). Today it

Problem sourcing file
Hi all, I created a file to define some functions. When I try to source this file, sometimes it works but sometimes I get the following error: >Source(‘File.R’) Error in srcfilecopy(filename, lines, file.info(filename)[1, "mtime"]) : unused argument(s) (file.info(filename)[1, "mtime"]) It works when I just started the R session, but after using some

forcing user resource provider to be local files only?
I see that there are an assorted bunch of "provider" types for resource type user. Are there not any "local file" providers for it? I have need of ensuring that certain local user accounts get created on all machines, reguardless of what the system "/bin/password" and "useradd" type mechanisms are set to. It would be really nice to find a pre-written

Directory names in Wine patches do not match actual dir names
Hello, when I tried to apply the patches for the recent Wine versions, I noticed that in all patches released in the last weeks, the dir names do not match the names in the source code tar archives. So, for example, if the source code had been unpacked into Wine-0.9.18, the patch to upgrade it to v0.9.19 would use 'a' and 'b' instead of 'Wine-0.9.18' and

2.6.9-42.0.2.ELsmp
Hi, I currently have a few CentOs 4.X servers running the latest stock 2.6.9-42.0.2.ELsmp kernel. I notice kernel.org are now up to version 2.6.18 and many people are using the 2.6.17.11 Does anyone have any opinions with regards to the 17.11 and .18 kernels? I'm led to believe the latest centos stock kernels are the same anyway as are the backported Redhat ones. I'd be interested to
