GMA 950 (945M) + Wine = Black Screen
Hey guys.
Well, i've installed a fresh install of ubuntu on my laptop (hp dv-6000). It runs linux 3D apps flawlessly, including while in compiz. But when i try to run a 3D app on wine, whatever it is, i get a black screen... but sound works well behind.
I've tryied Fifa 10, SW: Battlefront, F1 Challenge 99-02 and other i forgot.. damn, i can't remember. But whatever it was, any game, i

I'm stuck with a scientific problem which gives me headaches:
I have a laptop (Gateway MX3410) which has a SD memory card reader.
Recently an interesting thought crossed my mind: why don't I setup
a 2GB SD card as a harddrive and put some rescue tools on it.

Xorg cursor instead of wine's (or even changing wine's default cursor)
Is there a way to hide wine's default cursor or change it or use Xorg's
cursor? (I did ask this on IRC last night, but only 1 person responding
he/she didn't think so, so I'm asking on the list just to be sure). Reason
for this is, I have found a mouse.c patch that enables a sort of HW OpenGL
cursor for WoW. (Basically shows the wine hw cursor instead of hiding it,

Previewing oggvorbis files in GNOME...
Hi. I'm wondering if anyone out there can give me a little help trying
to figure something out: I presently am running CentOS4.1 with GNOME as
my desktop (It runs quite well, I must say!). I just have a little
curiosity: I have a few audio files (.wav, .mp3 and .ogg) and I like to
"preview" them. When run my mouse over the .wav files (and mp3 files)

After Windows login black screen with mouse cursor
I did some more tests. I got the functionality back after switching the client to OU computer and doing a restart.
It seems to depend on folder redirection.

Found it! Folder redirection of Desktop worked so far. But now it got confused for some Rea's n I don't know.
Switched folder redirection back to local profile and it works again!
Should I add this to the wiki?
