Moving dovecot/maildir to new host, dovecot.* files
Hello,
I've done a fair amount of searching, and couldn't find a definitive answer.
I am moving my dovecot/postfix servers and mail in Maildir formats to a new host.
When I move the Maildir directories, what should I do with the dovecot.index/cache/log/etc. files?
I know I can filter them out, and dovecot will recreate them, but is that the best approach?
I am thinking of the following:

BUG - ssh issue and variation - Plus implementation problem for linux
Please have a look at:
http://www.experts-
exchange.com/Networking/Linux_Networking/Q_21101467
.html
and my responses to it. It is reasonably easy to
get around the problem on Cygwin, and the windows
version with putty doesn't appear to be a
problem...but how is one supposed to deal with it
in the linux. Perhaps a need to alter the sanity
checks for the scp inpur args?
Best regards

Interpretation of PC loadings
Hello,
Following on from a paper by Ludwig, Horel and Whiteman in 2004, I have
been using PCA to identify surface wind patterns. In the paper they
approach the problem using the "real vector approach", that is, they
create paired (u,v) vectors for the wind data, in effect artificially
doubling the number of variables, then perform the pca, subsequently repairing the
output and plotting

[PATCH] daemon: proto: Remove pervasive but useless debugging messages.
If you spend your time looking at libguestfs debugging output you'll
see many messages from the daemon main loop like this:
guestfsd: main_loop: new request, len 0x54
guestfsd: main_loop: proc 278 (mkfs) took 0.02 seconds
I don't think these messages really bring much value. This commit
removes them entirely.
An alternative might be to change them to make them shorter and/or

Active Directory Integration Problems
Hello everyone,
I have setup Samba 3.0.28a on an Ubuntu 8.04 server. The setup that I
am working with is an exact copy (as far as I can tell) if an identical
installation that I did on a test box. Kerberos is setup and working
properly. I can use kinit to issue tickets. The box has been
successfully joined to the Active Directory domain. I can enumerate AD
users and groups. I can log

Hi Alberto,
No idea about your issue as I'm playing with Samba to build AD only, I can
only tell you that I did tested on my Samba AD DC and I can use upper,
lower or mixed case in user names:
dc108:/opt/initial_setup# id mtest
uid=3000017(AD\mtest) gid=3000018(AD\not_system_users)
groupes=3000018(AD\not_system_users),3000017(AD\mtest)

WinXP sometimes is slow opening files / browsing directories
Hi,
I think I've been hit by the problem described here:
http://oldlook.experts-exchange.com/Networking/Linux_Networking/Q_20762641.html
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;811169&Product=WinXP
The server is Red Hat Linux 9, running samba samba-2.2.7a-7.9.0.
We have client PCs running both Win98 and WinXP, but only the ones
running WinXP display the problem.
