Can the WINE window be larger on high resolution settings?
I was reading this post http://forum.winehq.org/viewtopic.php?p=45535&sid=6957add8af3402a8afa68d8527121e2d and others like it looking for a way to make the content in the WINE window look larger. I mean to look like 800x600 resolution when the monitor settings is at 1024x768. So, I have typed this on the command line: Code: wine explorer /desktop=spider,800x600 spider.exe or wine explorer

Problem with widescreen display
I have a dual boot CentOS 5.2 / FC4 machine, and recently I have bought a new widescreen tft monitor. I used to use a plain 4:3 crt, and after plugging the 16:9 tft naturally X needed reconfiguring. This was easy in FC4, and seemed as easy in CentOS, but with a wrong result. Basically, what I did was to run system-config-display to reconfigure for the new monitor and resolution. All goes

fullscreen uses panning, and xrandr has cursor moving
I'm having a problem with games running in wine fullscreen with nvidia proprietary driver 185.18 under Fedora 11 64-bit. My desktop resolution is 1920x1200, and when I run a game with 1280x960 fullscreen setup (like Halo for example), it changes resolution to 1280x960 and runs fullscreen as expected, but when I move the mouse toward the edge rapidly, it pans the game screen away as if

4.4 on Dell D620: widescreenresolution?
Hi, Did anyone manage to get 4.4 working on a Dell D620 laptop? The thing has a 1440x900 LCD screen, but I don't get X the work with that resolution. (lspci: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)) Google suggested to use '915resolution', which I installed (915resolution-0.5.2-1.el4.rf), but that doesn't help. [LLVMdev] [LNT] Does LNT's mouse wheel zooming work well anywhere?
This is only a minor annoyance, but mouse wheel zooming on LNT graphs is pretty broken on at least OSX. It does not work correctly on Chrome, Safari or Firefox. On Safari and Chrome the zoom is way to sensitive, on Firefox, the page scrolls while mouse wheel zooming. This appears to be a limitation of the flot graphing package we use. Does LNT’s mouse wheel zooming work better for people Linux

Works as in "it zooms", but I personally hate it zooming on mouse wheel, since it changes the behaviour of the browser depending where the cursor is, which for me is just bad design. I'd rather it worked

system-config-display wrongly sets up Viewsonic VG730m monitor
I originally set up this monitor with an analogue lead. Everything seemed fine, so I didn't check xorg.conf at all. Then I bought a digital lead, and since then the monitor blinks. Running system-config-display identifies it as a 1280 x 1084 CRT monitor. It is an LCD monitor. That model is not on the drop-down list, so assuming that a specific driver wasn't available for it, I

/etc/X11/xorg.conf question
If I use "system-config-display" or "system-config-display --reconfig" although I get a message that I need to log out of GNOME, to have the new file written, for new Display Resolution, logging out or restarting the box does not result in the new settings for the Display taking hold. Sometimes, the number of colors is updated, but *never* the Resolution. Below is my xorg.conf

Ajax zooming pictures
Hi, I was wondering if anyone has an idea of the code that I can write to achieve the follow effect. http://www.istockphoto.com/file_search.php?action=file&userID=938503 When you move your mouse over an image, it shows a bigger picture. Thanks -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

Zooming in to a ggplot (a sort of ylim, but ylim won't do)
Dear Helpers, I wonder whether you might be able to help me. I have a plot composed of ggplot (and a follow on geom_smooth call). I would like to restrict the display range of the y axis to a smaller range, a sort of zooming onto a region. I attempted to use ylim, but it will effect the range (i.e. effect the geom_smooth call). Is there any way that I can save the results up to geom_smooth call

Plot zooming i.e. changing ylim according to xlim
Dear R-gurus, I would like to zoom in a plot, e.g. I select a region on the x-axis and then I would like the ranges on the y-axis to change accordingly. Is it possible to do this with existing functions, or do I have to invent some data selection before plotting? See below a short example, where I select ylim with trial and error, which I want to avoid. Cheers, Henrik Andersson

Microphone in EQ2 2 devices
Hi, I have following problem. In my Computer is an on board HDA Intel Sound Chip. This device has 5.1 out and an input connection for an microphone. My TFT Monitor has also a build in microphone with web Cam connected via USB. The big advantage is, I don't need an separate Microphone or Head Set. xrandr HDMI-1 and DVI-D-1 disconnected - External monitor not detected
Hi List, I'm stuck how to get a dual head monitor solution to work with Nouveau, running openSUSE 13.1 on my hp8710w mobile workstation equipped with a Nvidia graphical card. Beyond the built-in WUXGA display, an external WQHD monitor is connected to the HDMI port on the graphical card and/or to the dual link DVI-D on a hp docking station. CentOS 5 dual head doesn't work
I just bit the bullet and installed CentOS 5 on my work desktop, and although I have two monitors and a card that supports them, I cannot get the display configuration to work with both as a continuous (spanning) desktop. I have tried using the correct (autodetected) monitor type (digital and analog), a generic LCD with 1280x1024, nothing works. Every time I set the configuration, the X server
