libc.so.6(GLIBC_PRIVATE)(64bit) is needed but I cannot find it in CentOS 5.2
Hi, I hope it's the right list. Anyway, I'm using CentOS 5.2. I wrote a program that uses rtkaio (so my Makefile contains -lrtkaio). The program runs successfully. The problem began when I wanted to create a rpm for my program. I was able to generate a binary rpm, but when I tried to install it, I got the following error: [root at klab002 tmp]# rpm -i /tmp/mypkg-1.0.x86_64.rpm error:

Wine and mandriva 2006
I've just installed mandriva 2006, I was using mandriva LE and wine-0.9.2-mdk under which terragen (http://www.planetside.co.uk/) ran pretty well and I registered the program which enables me to use various large terrain sizes. However with the 2006 install and wine-0.9.2-mdk whenever I try to load a terrain file (saved from terragen) with the large terrain size or change the setting to use

Nouveau now used as the default free driver on Mandriva Linux
Hi all, This is mostly an FYI post that as of yesterday, nouveau is now used as the default free NVIDIA driver, in place of nv, on Mandriva Cooker (the development version of our distribution). [1] We still default to the proprietary driver when it is available and the user doesn't decline. We'll try to make sure any bugreports we get are first confirmed with nouveau git before

compiling issues with Mandriva Linux 2007 Discovery
All, I am a new user to Linux but I am familiar with R. I have previously used and installed R on a Windows platform without problems. I recently set up a dual boot system (XP_64, Mandriva) to run R on a Linux platform in order to more efficiently handle large datasets. I have not done compiling before, but read the R instructions and followed to my best ability. I downloaded the most recent
