[Fwd: Re: Dead keyboard]
Later... Well, I found that when wine installed Windows, it did not install the "standard" fonts, like Ariel or Times. So when I copied them to the wine version of Windows, the "hunt for fonts" was reduced to two... and I know which they are, so eventually... Anyway, that problem cleared up. But one more thing. I now start the program from the terminal with two lines of

Maintaining specific order when using aggregate or change order on axis
Hi All, I'm using the following code to produce some stacked bar graphs. *setwd("C:\\Users\\Tinus\\Documents\\NMMU\\R\\Seamounts")* *SChla <- read.csv("SM_Chla_data.csv")* * * *#Extract mean values from data file* * * *Coral <- SChla[185:223,] #Reduce SChla to Coral only* *coral <- with(Coral , aggregate(cbind(Pico, Nano, Micro), list(Depth),FUN=mean))*

Subsetting data leads to funky plots
I'm trying out a basic plot, but something about the way I subset my data leads to problems with the plot. plotting multiple variables in 1 bar graph
I'd greatly appreciate your help in making a bar graph with multiple variables plotted on it. All the help sites I've seen so far only plot 1 variable on the y-axis Data set: I have 6 sites, each measured 5 times over the past year. During each sampling time, I counted the occurrences of different benthic components (coral, dead coral, sand, etc.) over 5 transects in each site site

which multivariate regression?
Hi R-Users, I have a student doing work with lionfish and she has been trying to analyse a multivariate dataset to see what variables/factors are influencing the behaviour of lionfish. We have attempted a number of analyses, including rpart, relimpo and standard linear regression but we are not having much luck with quality output. The data is very non-normal and we would appreciate some advice

Coral with Xen
Hi! Coral isn''t working from Xen. If you can please try it, maybe i''m just doing something wrong. However it works from outside Xen with the same setup. Can Xen cause this kind of DNS errors? Try something like: http://www.scs.cs.nyu.edu.nyud.net:8090/coral/ or http://www.google.com.nyud.net:8090/ -- /Varga Péter/ ------------------------------------------------------- The

Gluster deamon fails to start
As far as the peer status (and I now remember seeing this earlier) the issue appears to be that the host name for gsaov07 is attempting to resolve over the wrong network for gluster "ent...." and not "stor.local". So, it may be as simple as removing gsaov07 as a peer, then probing over the correct network. I'll follow up with the Engine log. Sent using OWA for iPhone

Goodness-of-fit test for gamma distribution?
Hi all, I am wondering if anyone has written (or knows of) a function that will conduct a goodness-of-fit test for a gamma distribution. I am especially interested in test statistics have some asymptotic parametric distribution that is independent of sample size or values of fitted parameters (e.g., a chi-squared distribution with some fixed df), because I want to fit gamma distributions to

Segmentation fault
Hi, beginning around 12th of october I have an "Segmentation fault" when starting wine. I'm using precompiled rpm's from wine.dataparty.no but also tried a self compiled version from the wine.dataparty.no cvs-source getting the same fault. At least one other user seams to have similar problems (discussion in the forums of wine.dataparty.no. He is using fedora while

fruit:copyfile not working as expected
Hello Mike, I know from my customers that moving files under macOS Ventura on a SMB share is a mess and completely broken by Apple (e. g. moved files cannot be opened until you reconnect). Unfortunately I do not have a ZFS-backed machine to test against available right now to confirm the behaviour. Is your order of "vfs objects? correct? Species accumulation curves with differential sampling effort
Hello! I'm a PhD student working with coral reef fish diversity in Mexico. I want to do species accumulation curves but I have differential sampling effort for each "sample". Do you know or have developed an R script that consider the differential effort of each sample? PRIMER and other programs use each pack of species as a replica without the possibility of telling the program that

1.7.1 console unresponsive following "paste into"
Dear R Help, I've just installed 1.7.1 and have found that the console now exhibits odd behavior when I paste commands into it. I'm on a PC running Windows XP Professional. I use Word as my script editor, and then paste commands into the R console using the standard Windows "copy" within Word then "paste" within Rgui. This worked without a hitch in 1.7.0, but now in

Corel heritage applications
I understand that the applications that Corel release for Linux are WinXX apps tweaked to run under Wine. I have no problem with that, but it makes me wonder what success has been achieved running Corel Win apps. Sure beats upgrading if they still do the job you want. The applications that interest me are: WordPerfect version 7.0.2.19 Quatro Pro version 7.0.2.14 Corel Ventura

Gluster deamon fails to start
Thank you for your response. There has been no change of IP addresses. And I have tried restarting the glusterd service multiple times. I am using fully qualified names with a DNS server that has forward and reverse setup. Something I had noticed is that, with oVirt, communication is being attempted over the VM network, rather than storage network. Which is not how the bricks are defined. Not sure
