WRT54GP2 SIP server on LAN port
Hi,
I'm trying to set up Asterisk behind my WRT54GP2 router that has a
intergrated ATA box.
My box are not locked in any way so I can access and change all settings.
Now to the problem...
I have gotten Asterisk to register with my provider and everything works
just well..
Now it's time to get the intergrated ATA to connect to asterisk.
But the asterisk box in located on the LAN ports of

Linksys WRT54GP2-NA settings for performance and low bandwidth?
So I'm using a WRT54GP2-NA when I travel, as I travel alot, to give me a phone at my hotel rooms, etc. During the day or late at night the thing works great - best ATA I've ever used.
However, in the mid-evening (when many business travellers are at the hotel room doing work), the outgoing audio channel gets so choppy that the person on the other end can't make me out clearly.

Small PBX setup
Hi all,
I know that this has been passed around before, and I know that it
happens about every 3 months or so, but evertime the answers change, so I
thought I would pass it around again.
A company I work for has 3 incomming lines and 4 phones. They require
voicemail and MOH.
Their phone systems VM hard drive died today, they were quoted a $2000 to
replace it. I started to talk to them about

T.38 decoding
Hi,
I searched a while about T.38 decoding, and learned about the
bounty for T.38 support for asterisk and some softdecoders and
some hardware de- and encoding T.38.
Now I wonder, if there is already any (almost) ready to use solution
for decoding of T.38 faxes?
My szenario would be:
- Receiving a SIP call (containing the T.38 fax) by my provider with
my asterisk box.
- asterisk would

Sorting a vector by date
Hello out there....
Again I have a problem and I stuck...
How can I sort a vector of dates?
For example I have the vector
a<-ISOdate(2001, 1, 1) + 70*86400*runif(10)
How can this vector be sorted chronological?
And what's the function I should work with to handle these entries?
(in sense of: which(a>2001-01-04) or somehting like that)
Thank you for helping

Ferret+Lucene Index
We use Nutch and Lucene for our heavy duty text analysis jobs but I?m trying
to use ferrret to do some experiments. I understood that Ferret used the
same index format as lucene but I cannot look into a lucene index with
ferret and cannot read a ferret index with luke (the lucene index browser).
Am I doing somehting wrong or have the formats diverged?

Any experience with Linksys WRT54GP2 as localextensions to Asterisk ?
While we have not been able to get our hands on this model yet (we have
the other Linksys models) the Linksys voice products are based on the
sipura technologies ATA and will work. I was under the impression that
the only shipping WRT54GP2's are provisioned and locked to ATT (for
now).
Also keep in mind that you must be an ITSP and get authorized by
cisco/Linksys to be able to buy all Linksys

acts_as_ordered_tree
I need an ordered (sortable tree) and I just was thinking if somehting
like this is possible:
class Item< ActiveRecord::Base
acts_as_tree :order => "position"
acts_as_list :scope => ''parent_id = #{self.id}''
end
For my understanding mixing of two acts_as should be p?ssible, at least
in this case, right?
Unfortunatly the :scope is not working, I am not

connection limit with ipfw
Hello folks,
I'm trying to set up a ruleset that limits every user to X tcp
connections, since I have 300 active users on each server. I've been trying
to work it out with the ipfw limit but I really don't know how effective it
is.
For example:
ipfw -q add 15 allow tcp from me to any 80 limit dst-port X keep-state out
setup
Will this limit the whole machine to X

samba slow and several "Write andx Request"
Hi all,
I'm running version 3.0.28a on Ubuntu linux, and apparently from a day to
another I got performance issues: without any change in smb.conf (except a few
added shares) I have mac osx and linux clients getting a very slow
upload/download speed. I've checked with other protocols, like scp and
performances are good, so I can exclude a network/hardware problem.
Other clients are

Samba4 kinit issue with principal and keytab file
Hi Rowland,
Yes, I read this documentation carefully. I have two
working Apache2 with kerberos authentication working.
My question is
more about troubleshooting a keytab. If I need to test manually a keytab
file chalenging a specific principal, what's the prefered method ?
I
thougt that a kinit could be done using a principal name, but I am
unable to kinit with somehting else than the

RSQLite NA on input
Hello
I haev some .csv data files with missing values - eg below

[PATCH] drm/nouveau/therm/gp100: Do not report temperature when subdev is shadowed
Not sure if i understand completely what you intend to say here, with
this we prevent hwmon from reporting utterly wrong temperature values
returning an error (we could return -EBUSY or somehting instead,
granted), yet if the device is shadowed, getting a sane temp value out
of is seems unlikely to me!

Managing multiple Dom0''s
Are there people currently managing multiple Dom0''s and making
significant use of migration?
I''m loking at a potential setup of 16 or so physical systems with
perhaps 64 or so virtual systems (DomU''s I suppose Dom0 is also a
virtual system if I understand thing correctly, but that''s no twhat I
mean here).
It seems to me that making heavy use of migration for

Linksys PAP2 / RT31P2 + multiple G.729 calls
Hi,
anyone can confirm if the Linksys's ATA and Router (PAP2-NA and
RT31P2-NA) have the same limitation of just one G.729 call like the
Cisco ATA 186 ?
I'm testing both appliances here and found this issue but could not
confirm this anywhere (nothing on the manual, no document or post from
any user about this).
In my tests they use G.729 only on the first call and G.711 on the

Finding a models asscoations
Hi,
I cant seem to find the answer to this anywhere so any help/advice is
appreciated.
Each project has one risk and a risk has a number of has/one belongs to
assocations. So what i want to do is in my code loop through all the
associations for a risk and display some field information from each as
they are pretty similar. So somehting like
<% for model_association in project.risks %>

exhaustive permutations
Hello R-help Readers
I'm currently in the process of trying to write a permutation test
procedure for looking at differences between groups with a multivariate
data set (something equivalent to ANOSIM - analaysis of similarities for
those familiar with this test). As with other permutation tests, for
cases where there are large numbers of possible permutations, randomly
sampling from these

Any experience would be more than welcome.
