Compiling mpg123 under 1.2.9.1 / Ubuntu 6.06
Hi, I made the mistake of upgrading both my Linux box (to Ubuntu 6.06) and Asterisk (to 1.2.9.1) at the same time. Now, when trying to compile mpg123 - using the tried and true "make mpg123" -, the build fails with an error make[3]: Entering directory `/usr/src/asterisk-1.2.9.1/mpg123-0.59r' make[3]: *** No rule to make target `\ ', needed by `mpg123'. mpg123 alternative?
Been using mpg123 for moh for the last two years or so. However, when I have * config errors, often times get a endless stream of console messages and need to kill the two mpg123 processes. Is there an alternative to mpg123 that eliminates that issue? I see references in musiconhold.conf relative to madplay, native file format, asterisk-addons, etc. Not sure why the asterisk-addon approach

Asterisk Segmentation Fault - layer3.c/mpg123
Hello, I recently switched from using mpg123 to using the built-in format_mp3 for MusicOnHold. After playing a song (which I adapted as perscribed to 8Khz/mono mp3 with lame) for about 30 seconds, I get static in the earpiece and then: Jan 11 08:59:08 WARNING[11039]: layer3.c:966 III_dequantize_sample: mpg123: Can't rewind stream by 10 bits! Segmentation fault I am testing with another mp3

MusicOnHold with mpg123
Alright, I've come across a really strange issue and I've been banging my head trying to figure it out. I have 3 machines. 1 Dell Dimension 4100, Pentium 3. 1 Dell 400SC, Pentium 4. 1 Dell 1600SC, Xeon. I run mpg123 0.59r on each machine. Using RH9 with a 2.4.20-8 kernel, each machine plays MoH flawlessly. As RH9 gets older and older, however, the need to upgrade arose. So I

asterisk-addons / OS X woes (continued)
Hi, Using Zack's -shared replacement posted earlier, addons now compiles. For some reason though, when trying to load it cannot find cdr_mysql.conf even though it's in the /etc/asterisk directory as it should be. Anyone with any ideas? There's still references to _i386 files that are probably incorrect as well. Thanks Rob console messages: apsvr1*CLI> reload Mar 23
