help for a loop procedure
Hello everybody!
I’m trying to define the optimal number of surveys to detect the highest
number of species within a monitoring season/session.
To do this I want to run all the possible combinations between a set of
samples and to calculate the total number of species for each combination of
2, 3, 4 …n samples events, so that at the end I will be able to define which
is the lowest number of

the 'copula' package
Is anybody using the Copula package in R? The particular problem I'm
facing is that R is not acknowledging the fitCopula command/function
when I load the package and (try to) run something very simple:
fit1 <- fitCopula(x1 = list(u11,u12,u13,u14,u15,u16,u17,u18), tCopula,
optim.control = list(NULL), method = "BFGS")
Anybody also using it, successfully or unsuccessfully?

Digits timeout (ISDN)
Greetings everyone,
I'm having some issues connecting a Asterisk box to a old ISDN PBX.
Everything works fine but the undetermined digits rules. For instance,
if I have _00X. and I start dialing for instance 0035..., Asterisk just
get the 4 first numbers and starts dialing 0035.
I've tried adding:
stop_tone_after_first_digit = yes
append_digits2exten = yes
Although I

browsing problems with 2.0.0
I just upgraded our Sun OS 4.1.3 servers to samba 2.0.0 from the last 1.19
release, but the switch has changed how browsing works with NT 4.0 SP 3.
1. After double-clicking on Network Neighborhood there's now a
considerable delay before anything appears -- before it was virtually
immediate.
2. The computers in the workgroup no longer appear; I now get only

[LLVMdev] Speculative phi elimination at the top of a loop?
I am working on heavily optimising unusually static C++ code, and have encountered a situation where I basically want an optimiser that would speculatively unroll a loop to see if the first round of the loop could be optimised further. (I happen to know that it is possible.) The previous optimisations that produce the loop in the first place already do a magical job (relying heavily on constant

Bug in rsync? (--delete[-after])
Hello!
I think I've found a bug in some (older) versions of rsync.
The problem does not seem to have been reported at bugzilla.
And of the 9 bugs found there by searching on "--delete-after"
all have got the name wayned@samba.org attached.
I ask you therefore to check if this problem is found in the newest
version of rsync as well!
I've read the warnings at rsync.samba.org

[v2v PATCH v2 3/3] docs/virt-v2v: document libvirt system instance startup
It has frequently tripped us up that on RHEL / Fedora, installing the
right set of libvirt RPMs (such as the one pulled in by
"libvirt-daemon-kvm") does not result in an immediately running libvirt
system instance. Document the need, and the simplest method, for starting
libvirt up manually.
Thanks: Daniel Berrang?

Quad BRI card
Hi all
Does Digium make a quad BRI card? I can't see anything of the sort on their
page but I thought they might call it something else in the States.
Failing that, can anyone recommend a make/model that would handle 4 BRI ports?

Mongrel 0.3.13.1 -- Quick Small Fixes
Hi Everyone,
This is a small release that fixes a little bug, some of the
documentation, and adds the new RedirectHandler code and a @redirect@
call for the mongrel.conf files. It''s fresh so don''t rely on it.
Everyone should upgrade with the usual *gem update* command (which tells
you it''s "Upgrading...") and tell me how it works.
This release fixes:

Why use 'Answer'?
Why is it that newcomers always feel like inserting 'Answer' is a
necessary step in their extension.conf entries?

Mongrel Now Recommended Setup?
I see that the RubyOnRails.com site has migrated to Mongrel with Apache as a
front-end proxy.
Is that now the/a recommended setup for Rails apps? We''re still using FCGI
but I''m always interested to learn more about other folk''s successful
deployment choices.
Across all of our sites we''re pumping out about 300k pages per day so
