SV: I can hear only one way when I use nokia e-60 withX-lite
Hello Be aware that the Nokia E60, E61 and E70 does not support NAT. Just to be shure that you know that. A clever choice from Nokia, so that users has to have some local equipment from the telco. Zap channels ringing too loudly
Hi All I've got an asterisk system, using a couple of Xorcom Astribanks to provide FXS ports. (I'm using the zaptel 1.2 branch, if that matters) I've noticed that the ringing volume is a lot louder than on our old phone system, and people are starting to complain it's too loud. (This is the noise the phone makes when it rings, not the noise in your handset when you ring

SV: I can hear only one way when I use nokia e-60withX-lite
Hello Olivier Ive been testing the E61 phone for some days now, and we need to have an inhouse asterisk server, connected to our main asterisk server, to get it to work. That means, that you cant just walk down to your local airport, and use the IP part of the phone on their network. You have to have a non nat local server, to get it to run. Other than that, the phone can accept calls both

Latest chan_mobile
Hello, I recently updated my asterisk-addons-1.6.2 to the last revision and I have this problem that I don't know how to interpret, bug or not. I connected a Nokia N80 phone to use chan_mobile and everything works great until the phone starts getting disconnected after the call finished and sometimes during the call attempt. Is this a bug or a possible known issue for Nokia phones? # rpm

chan_mobile and DTMF
Hello list, I recently started testing the chan_mobile addon and after a successful installation and configuration I have a couple of problems that I can't fix without your help. I am using opensuse 11.1, asterisk 1.6.1 with bluez 4.22 (installed from rpm packages) and a Nokia N80 phone. Apparently all works fine except the DTMF. Seems impossible to catch DTMF when nothing (no song) is

Assigning to the foreign key on a belongs_to association
I''ve encountered what seems like an odd omission in the behaviour of belongs_to associations: if you assign to the foreign key attribute, it doesn''t update the associated object (or mark a previously loaded one as stale) until you explicitly save or reload it. Let''s say we have a Company model, which belongs_to :city : >> torchbox =

OT (semi) E60 problem
Hello again gurus. I have been using Asterisk with great results going on a couple of years now. My primary box is running asterisk 1.42 built from a tar ball on Mac OSX 10.4.9. I have a very odd issue that I cannot seem to nail down, which is related to my Nokia E60 SIP phone. I use the E60 with very good results (latest firmware) from several locations. Basically it works fine from

RAID 1: missing operating system
Hi all, I'm trying to setup a RAID-1 with Centos4.2 on HP Netserver E60. The raid consists of 2 9,1GB SCSI disks. The partitioning and installation process went smoothly, but after it finished and rebooting, there is an error: Missing operating system. The partition is: / /home swap Bootloader is on device md0. What could be possibly wrong? Thank you, -- Fajar Priyanto | Reg'd Linux

WiFi Phones (was Looking for Wireless Heaset for Polycom 501)
Martin: I had seen your other post and sent you a message off-list, but I never got a response. What do you feel is the most lacking that does not make it ready for a production enviroment. - I've been using a SIP deskphone in my office and usually some sort of ATA at my house, both as the primary phone. I've also had mobile phones from almost every carrier. Each one of these devices

[OT] Nokia E60 firmware update break SIP
Just a warning for you all that are using Nokia series E phones for SIP function. I updated my phones firmware today using the Nokia Updater, and now the SIP functionality, which previously worked pretty well is completely broken. The phone no longer registers with asterisk, although it displays the little icon as though it has, and it doesn't even seem to try to pass calls to

openssh password expiration problem
openssh password expiration problemPatrick, Indeed password aging does not work with OpenSSH 3.0.1p1 on Solaris 2.6. >From what I can tell something is different with Solaris 2.6 and Solaris 2.8. Theora player for Nokia Series 60
I've made a start writing a Theora player for Series 60 phones (mostly Nokia phones, but some Samsung and Sony Ericsson ones too). Download here: http://symbianoggplay.sourceforge.net/OgvPlay/OgvPlay_010.zip I've been using Big Buck Bunny, Elephants Dream and a few other ogv files for testing. I've uploaded 320x180 versions of those here:
