T.38 ATAs
Hello I am going to try the new Digium Fax for Asterisk product. I'm planning to connect fax machines to Asterisk (currently 1.6.0.9) via T.38 ATAs. I'm looking at Grandstream HT502 or Linksys SPA2102 ATAs. If anyone has any experience with these devices, or other recommendations, I would be grateful if you could share your experiences. Regards Ian

Good ATAs from companies other than Sipura/Linksys?
First of all, I'm not knocking Sipura/Linksys. I have heard very good things about their products. I'm just wondering if they are the only quality shop on the market. I know about the zoom 5801 where you can't dial out the FXO from SIP, only from the FXS port. And I have heard similar about the HT-488 also. I want to know if anyone else makes ATAs where all of the features work

Operation of ATAs in a call shop type set-up
Hi, Can someone explain to me how ATAs operate in a call shop type environment to provide realtime billing to the callshop software. The ATAs seem to be configured to connect directly to the asterisk server, so how does the call shop software report in realtime your destination and duration of the answered call? Thank you, AC -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was

Are the ATAs which can allow multiple extensions from one network connection?
Are there ATAs that allow different phone numbers from one network connection? Such as supporting multiple IP addresses so that each RJ11 has a different extension or some other way?

Working example of ALERT_INFO with Cisco ATAs?
I am wondering if there are any tricks getting the Cisco ATAs to do "distinctive rings" via the ALERT_INFO variable? I have seen some contradictory information in the Wiki, and I tried the example there. I then sniffed the connection between the server and the ATA and didn't see the header sent like it is "supposed" to be. If someone out there has a handle on this and

enquiry about defrag
Hi all, i am new on btrfs, i am testing KVM on btrfs (host: kernel x86-64 3.5.3), the performance is reasonable. I have two question on defrag, can someone help me? 1. According to btrfs wiki, defragment a COW file will produce two unrelated files. Does it apply to the "autodefrag" mount option? 2. Is there any command for the fragmentation status of a file/dir ? e.g. fragment

Music on Hold from Soundcard
Hey all, I've been trying to get MoH to work from the line-in on my soundcard, but as of yet have had no success. I found this script that should allow for it to happen: http://www.sineapps.com/news.php?rssid=722 The script, when run as the asterisk user, works properly and streams sound to stdin. But when Asterisk starts MoH it stops it immediately afterwards with no explanation. Has anyone

[LLVMdev] Idea for Google Summer Code : C Compiler for EFI Byte Code implement in LLVM
Hello all, I am highly interestd in implementing C compiler for EFI Byte Code in LLVM and participate in Google Summer Code. EFI is a much larger, more complex,OS-like replacement for the older BIOS firmware interface present in all IBM PC-compatible personal computers. and the EFI specification provides for a processor-independent device driver environment(like virtualmachine), called EFI Byte

I've used TCPDUMP & NGREP to monitor 127.0.0.1, no data's flowing. I've tried loading Asterisk with no modules, tried loading with a naked

installing gtkmm
Hi, I've been building a gtkmm project on ubuntu and things run smoothly. Now i have to move the project to CentOS 5.4. I set up rpm forge and installed gtkmm. Turns out that the package on rpmforge is too old that my project doesn't compile. I wonder if there is other way to get newer version of gtkmm and all its dependencies instead of manually install them? -best, Ming-ching

rbind/cbind
Dear list, I wonder if there a better way to have rbind/cbind/append to create the first element (if it is empty) instead of doing the following in a loop? for (i in 1:10) { if (i == 1) { aRow = SomeExpression(i) } else { aRow = rbind(aRow,SomeExpression(i)) } } Thanks Anthony
