low-level dump for PRI dchan debugging
I've been going back and forth with my telco for several days, trying different configurations to get a new PRI to come up. The bchannels are all up and the T1 is not in alarm status. The dchannel refuses to come up however. We've tried ni2, qsig, and now dms100 for the switchtype. The telco tech I've been working with says that he's been sending "reset all channels"

Red Alarm / Alarm Cleared Zaptel Issue (bug? )
Check with your telco. We had the same problem on 1 of our PRI's, every day at 5:00 sharp, red alarm, with all calls cut off for 30 seconds exactly. Turns out the equipment at the CO was going into a test loop at that time because of a forgotten setting by a tech. Man, what a finger pointing exercise that was. -----Original Message----- From: Matthew Boehm [mailto:mboehm@cytelcom.com] Sent:

PRI (TE205P) allways RED/NOP
I have a TE205P, jumpered for E1, added the missing wct4xxp-line to /etc/modprobe.d/zaptel, zaptel.conf is just span=1,1,0,ccs,hdb3,crc4,yellow span=2,2,0,ccs,hdb3,crc4,yellow bchan=1-15 dchan=16 bchan=17-31 bchan=32-46 dchan=47 bchan=48-62 Which, according to my reading of the documentation I could find, should be correct. ztcfg doesn't complain about anything, yet all I ever get is RED

change dchannel number
Hi: I'm using a te110p E1 card in Spain. There is way to change the dchan channel number? Here in Spain there is a voice company that works with dchannel in channel number 31. I must to set channels from 1 to 30 and dchan to 31 but when asterisk loads the chan_zap.c it says that channel 16 is reserve for dchan. Can you help me? Cheers. -- Jos? Luis Garc?a Ext. Sometimes pri channels restart during * is runnig ?
Hi all, i have observed, that sometimes all BChannels on my Zaptel Pri device (E400P) will be restarted. The E400P is connected to another pri switch. In the traces from the other side (pri switch) i can see that libpri request for the channelid is 255. Is this a bug or a feature ...? Or, can it be a bug on the other side (terminator switch) ? Have anyone an idea ? Thanks, Thomas.

Asterisk and Mitel SX 200 Slip and Frame Errors causing Major Ala rms
We have integrated an Asterisk (TE110P) and a Mitel SX200. We usually get over 500 frame errors and over a 500 slip errors per hour. When the errors reach 1000 per hour the Mitel will take it's T1 card offline. At that point no calls can be routed from the Asterisk server to the Mitel and the TE110P reports a Yellow alarm. What can be causing all these Frame and Slip errors? We have been

Errors Question
Today we have been having some problems with the dchannel of out T1's. I was wondering if there is a way for asterisk to send out an email or page whenan error occurs. Not I know errors happen quite offen for many reasons, but I would like an email sent when there is a TI problem, or specefic other problems. I am using the safe_asterisk to run asterisk and it sends an email when asterisk

chan_capi-cm and type of number problem (ToN)
Hi! I have problems with the ToN configurations in chan_capi-cm. I understand how incoming calls are rewritten using national and international prefix. But for outgoing calls - what is the ToN? Further, is there any debug info of the Ton? "capi debug" and the divactrl dchannel both show the CLI and CDLI, but do not show the ToN. How can I set the ToN? I suspect chan_capi to use the

B410P: DAHDI BRI PTMP HDLC Abort (6) on Primary D-channel of span 1 (TEI Errors)
Hi all, So, we reverted the LibPRI version and tested it, and then tried with the latest version of everything. Still no changes. The BRI line is in PTMP. If we set the configs to PTMP in the genconf_parameters and try it, we get the following: [Jan 21 17:32:20] ERROR[20341]: chan_dahdi.c:12645 dahdi_pri_error: Unable to receive TEI from network! TE205P
Hello, I am working on a project and have a few questions. I want to connect one port of the TE205p to the PSTN, and another port to the PRI port of a PBX. Basically Asterisk will sit between the PSTN and the existing PBX. Are there any gotcha's I need to be aware of? Will the existing PBX be able to dial through asterisk as if it was a PSTN connection? -- Isaac McDonald Got VoIP? imcdona
