How can I change exit on error behaviour in remote control mode ?
Hi, all: In remote control mode of guestfish, the server will normally exit if there is an error in a command. guestfish man page said if we prefix a command with a - character, then that command will not cause guestfish to exit, but this doesn't work in remote control mode, seems the prefixal '-' in sub-command won't be handled by guestfish. -------------- $ eval `guestfish

metaflac: New tags to replace crossfading in players.
Hi All, I'd like to improve the way MPD (and other players) switches between tracks. I'd like something like crossfade but without any fading. I'd like the player to just overlap the end of one track with the beginning of the next track to provide a nice transition. Crossfading in MPD doesn't work for me since it just ramps the volume up/down over a fixed time and some tracks

GSM gateways - which one ?
I've been asked to purchase a gsm gateway for use with our asterisk server (for our use, not reselling) I have a spare ISDN port on the server, so I have use either a PRI or VOIP gsm gateway. What would people recommend ? Has anyone used the QuesCom 400 ? I would also love to know a rough idea of cost ;) Once I've gotten the info, I'll post a message on the biz list for a

VoIP GSM Gateways
Have you looked at his website, www.netenable.co.uk ? Looks like he pays bills the same way as he answers followups ;-) g -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com on behalf of Peter Bowyer Sent: Sun 03-Dec-06 8:43 PM To: Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion Subject: Re: [asterisk-users] VoIP GSM Gateways Not very good at answering followups to

VoIP GSM Gateways
I'm looking at setting up a VoIP GSM gateway to connect to my asterisk box. What experience have people on this list have with GSM gateway hardware. I have been looking at the 2N voiceblue products. HTB doesn''t give me the promised rate: cpufreq?
Hi all :) I''ve been using a tc setup for almost two years, but at some point (probably when I switched to kernel 2.6.x, but I''m not sure) it has started making something very weird. For a certain class, the rate is 125000bit and the ceil is 270000bit, but the fastest rate I get is about 75-80000bit, instead of the "promised" 125000, *with no other traffic in

RE: Asterisk-Users Digest, Vol 7, Issue 323
I fear that list digest did not forward to me all the messages... buying cell phone adapters is quite unfeasible at this point, since the installation at hand uses 8 BRI for outgoing calls, and the customer negotiated very special rates for handling all the traffic through his voice carrier. Moreover, in italy you have 4 cell phone operators, and you should add a bunch of call phone adapters for

Powercom BNT-800AP
While fundamentally working, I'm having a few issues with the driver... The default voltage quads (for every model) are way off... Showing ~95v when it should be ~117V. I've changed the 4th/final coefficient to +5.0, but haven't tested extensively (with fluctuating voltages). The input/output voltage appears to be swapped _most of the time_. When doing a battery test, or when

How to read percentage and currency data?
I'm struggling to find any help on this seemingly simple question - how does one read data with percentage (%) or currency (?,$ etc.) signs? When I try to read a data file which has any of those symbols in the data fields, they are read as characters rather than values. Is there a function or library which can deal with such values? As an example, I use this sample from one of chinna's

Problems with NUT 2.7.2 on CentOS 7 and using the Mini-Box OpenUPS
Charles, Thanks again for your help, and sorry I didn?t :cc - noted for the future! I?m suspicious that the OpenUPS doesn?t behave properly in a number of ways, of which the USB traffic is the one of immediate concern. It seems to me that NUT can read from it but probably not write to it: and the OpenUPS doesn?t flag ?low battery? conditions correctly either. It does shut itself down at a

help with annoying warning message: Asked to transmit frame type ulaw, while native formats is 0x2 (gsm) read/write = 0x2 (gsm)/0x2 (gsm)
Hi all, i have a little problem to understand this warning message, it's annoying and it cause a lot of spurious in the log files. Im working with this scenario: a sip outgoing trunk (Trunk-out) that support only ulaw and all calls are always routed to this. a list of sip UAs that potentially can use any codec apart g729/g723. I setup the asterisk to do as mediaproxy so directmedia=no and

GSM to GSM call with callerid passthrough
Hi All, I have a GSM to VoIP gateway (specifically yeaster TG400) which I am trying to use for kind of a call intercept between two GSM users. Call comes through one SIM and goes out through another Sim with our Asterisk in between to log the call. This works fine but we need the original callerid to pass-through through the outgoing SIM. I have tried every possible configuration on Asterisk that

Problems with NUT 2.7.2 on CentOS 7 and using the Mini-Box OpenUPS
Charles, Did you get chance to look at the data I sent you, please? I?ve done some more work myself and the conclusion I?ve reached is that if the minibus OpenUPS doesn?t support instant commands, then sending ?upsdrvctl shutdown? won?t ever work, as it would need to send instant commands! Also from the trace I sent you, it appears that after the ?RunTimeToEmpty? query, the interface tries to
