Updated: No audio when dialing in via PRI with Q.SIG
After lots of testing I discovered that I could get the sound to work. The only thing I had been testing was MeetMe and Voicemail. But when I dialed a SIP-phone, or routed back to other phones via the PRI interface, everything works just great! The problem only seem to occur when dialing directly into Asterisk, when Asterisk sends the audio output. I have also discovered that the PRI never seem to

No sound in one calling direction, men using PRI with E1 and Q.SIG
I've been trying lots of configurations now. And the problem that I can't solve is this: I have a Digium T205P card. I have connected one of the connections to our internal PBX (NEC 2000 IPS). The Asterisk is configured as pri_cpe, and the NEC is configured to be the network side of the connection. Both ends are using b-channels 1-15 and 17-31, the d-channel is on 16. When I start

Samba, slow performance and crashing databases
Hi, I'm using samba in RedHat Linux 5.0. It works almost ok... First of all, I think everything is MUCH to slow. I am running it on a Pentium Pro 200MHz with 64Mb RAM. And there is only 5 clients using it. I'm using version 1.8.19p3 on an RedHat 5.0 Server. Is there something special I need to do about the filelocking?? Or have I just done something wrong during setup...? Before this

PRI/Q.sig between Cisco & Nortel
Hello, I am using a Cisco-2,811 as a gateway between the Asterisk PBX and our Nortel TX-1 university's PBX. It is working but no names are exchanged. From the debug mode I see that the Cisco sends the display name (which does not appear on the Nortel's phones) and the Nortel does not bother to send it at all. I recall that when I had a pilot with Cisco CCM two years ago we had to set

Questions about chan_dahdi, PRI, MWI (and Q.SIG)
Hello everyone, My setup: Debian squeeze Asterisk 1.8, DAHDI, libpri, compiled from source TE110P, attached to a Deutsche Telekom Octopus E Modell 300/800 I'm trying to get MWI for Voicemail working. In the same server I have also got an Eicon DIVA PRI card for testing purposes (it is integrated via CAPI and the chan-capi channel driver into my Asterisk). MWI works just fine there. I

Minimum system requirement for ....
Hi, I need to know from your experience which is the minimum hardware configuration (proc./memory) to run * with two X100P cards and around 10 internal IP phones (from which 4 are hardware ones and use G.711, the rest of them with GSM), with a couple of IAX connections with other Asterisk PBX'es (GSM too). Have someone tried to build a graph about the dependencies between hardware

[Fwd: snowfall on Win7]
Dear Ola, I cannot say anything about Windows 7, as we do not have any Win7 machines here in our institute and I even do not know someone who have Win7 on a private machine. I will try to find a machine with this OS and test it. Anybody having experiences with Win7 yet? How to control which command is executed with "plain ssh" from remote machine?
Hi! Is it possible to override in OpenSSH so that the shell specified in the /etc/passwd (or what comes from the LDAP server) is not executed at login? We have na?vely tried to specify this with subsystem but found out that by default the ssh client does not specify any subsystem. So how to override something that is unset from the client? /John -- John Olsson Ericsson AB BSC/BSS System

Time zone for chrooted internal-sftp?
Hi, A question regarding chroot, internal-sftp, and time zones: Is it possible to get the time stamps presented by the chrooted internal-sftp to always be aligned with the system global time zone setting? What is the reason this not done by default, that is couldn't the chrooted internal-sftp inherit the time zone information from the SSH daemon? /John -- John Olsson Ericsson AB
