SPA 3000 won't relay DTMF to doorphone
Hello, Before throwing in the towel with my Sipura 3000 has anyone had much success with that adapter connected to a door phone? In our setup a doorphone is connected to the SPA's fxs port. When a visitor rings, asterisk calls a group of Polycoms and the person who answers has to enter *1 to trigger the door opening. However it seems the SPA doesn't relay the DTMF's to the

Linksys SPA devices and CID
Hi list, After successfully configuring Linksys SPA3000 and SPA3102 devices as Asterisk PSTN gateways, the only thing I can't get working is the PSTN Caller ID. The analog and SIP phones I've used can both display CIDs for internal calls, while the analog model also displays CIDs correctly when attached directly to the PSTN line. However, when PSTN calls come in via the SPA

Sipura SPA-3000 vs Linksys SPA3000
Hallo! I had ordered a Sipura SPA-3000 in the UK, but the supplier turned out to be unreliable and never shipped. Yesterday I went looking for alternative suppliers and found the Linksys SPA3000 device. It's a different box, but the specs look very similar. Is this the same device? Has anyone used this Linksys SPA3000 successfully with Asterisk? Thanks, Frank

Sipura SPA 3000 logic
Hi all, I was wondering whether anybody here would help me clarify this minor issue please. If I have the following setup; Asterisk ------ Sipura SPA 3000 (fxo) --------- Pstn Line Would a call coming in on the pstn line be answered by the ATA or just get passed through to the * server (depending on dialplan) to handle? So basically, the caller does

SPA-3000 - the party's over :-(
The party's over folks, the new official cisco/linksys/sipura policy is to no longer sell SPA-3000's to end users. Buy them while you still can :-( -Dan

SPA-3000 and incoming faxes
I've been running with a generic X100P for 5 or so months and every once in a while I have problem receiving faxes. I see that others have the same problems and some worse than I have with these boards so I was wondering if using a Sipura SPA-3000 would be any more reliable. Has anyone had enough experience to tell me if that would definitely fix the random fax error. PS. I have * at

Sipura SPA-3000 and PSTN dtmf
Greetings, What is the recommended settings for using SPA-3000's FXO port for dialing out to PSTN in regard of the DTMF? The voip lan contains SPA-2100 and SPA-3000, with all fxs/fxo ports registered to the Asterisk box with unique username/passwords. The inbound PSTN DTMF works excellently, e.g. people calling from PSTN into the * box are able to pick IVR items with DTMF reliably. The

Echo on SPA-3000 FXO
I've had an spa3k in service here at the house for a while now. After some initial wrangling, it's been working okay. I've had to reboot it a couple times and have noticed something rather annoying though. My setup is pretty simple and, dare I say, common. I have the SPA-3000 "inline" between my incoming POTS line and the internal house phone. It's setup to deliver

echo with spa-3000
More an echo algorithm question than a purely asterisk one... I have the following setup: Handset - PAP2 - Asterisk - SPA3000 - Telco And no matter what I do, I get echo on a call routed out via the PSTN when I talk into the handset, in the order of a hundred ms (my estimate, could be wildly inaccurate!). Echo will occur also when I have a handset plugged into the phone port on the SPA3000

help with Sipura SPA 3000
Hi there everyone! I've bought a Sipura SPA 3000, and succesfully connected it to my Mac, where I installed Asterisk 1.4.0. Both ports (FXO and FXS) are well configured). However, living in Brazil, I'd like to know if there are optimal settings to my PSTN that I should enter into the config of the device. I experience a little bit of echo on the FXO probably because I raised the gain of

HT-488 vs. SPA-3000?
Hello, Just want to tap the collective wisdom of this list as to experiences pertaining to the Handytone HT488 and the Sipura SPA-3000 adapters... Basically I'm looking for a FXO/FXS/LAN ATA and these two seems to be the top of the pick..Any comments and experiences esp. with Asterisk compatibility would be great, before I plonk in the bucks. TIA. /wai-sun

DISA & SPA3000 issues
Hi, These days I run into something quite odd. I have an A@H that was modified to meet our requirements. We have a completely funtional DISA which we use pretty much all the time. I works flawlessly with incomming SIP calls from several providers, IAX calls from FWD and with ZAP. Recently we came out with a situation where it doesn't work... with a

false busy using sipura spa-3000 with asterisk on solaris
I'm new to asterisk and already a fan. Please forgive me if my questions are covered by some FAQ and thanks in advance for any pointers anyone can give me. The basic problem that I'm having is that sometimes outgoing calls result in a busy signal when the outgoing line is free. I'm thinking that the channel is timing out or something but haven't figured out how to debug or gather

RE: SPA 3000 - UK Replacement
First off I am totally annoyed and let down by PC World Business (PCWB part of the Dixons Group). I ordered one of these babies from them over a month ago. After constantly chasing them up they finally told me they couldn't deliver, and have now only just returned the money they "stole" from me. I only bought from them because they showed a 4-day availability stock level! Now

SPA-2000, call for help testing echo issues...
In my hunt to track down my echo issues, I tried disabling all echo cancellation, suppression, adaption, on my SPA-2000 (Advanced section of the config, under Line 1/2). Then calling from one local extension to another. (SPA-2000 Line1, to Line2 on the same device) I was pretty shocked with the results, the echo was HORRIBLE! I even tried 3 different analog phones. Now, once I turned the echo

Working SPA 841s now return 404 Not Found for INVITES and OPTION packets from *
I don't know what's changed, but four SPA841s and a SPA3000 are no longer answering when they get an inbound call from *. This has been a working configuration for weeks. I *have* been fiddling with the server config; however, the configuration is under version control and I've reverted everything to exactly how it was when the server was working. Doesn't fix it. SPA-3000 as a regular Asterisk FXO device?
My SPA-3000 finally arrived and I'm trying to get the FXO port on it to work as if it was a X100P card as far as Asterisk is concerned. I have Asterisk dialing out over the SPA-3000 FXO port no problem. The issue I'm having problems with is having the SPA-3000 automatically forward all incoming PSTN calls to the Asterisk "mainmenu" context (or ext I guess). Currently the

Has anyone tried using a Sipura-3000 as an FXO device for *?
I am considering using Sipura-3000s as FXO devices for my * system. Has anyone tried them in that configuration? They interest me because they need no PCI slots and therefore no drivers. I would much prefer not to have any special kernel requirements for my system. /carmi
