Cisco 7960 quick dial
Is there a way to make the Cisco 7960 SIP phone dial out automatically without having to press the dial button, once the numbers that you have entered match a specific pattern? This feature is present when the phone is working with a Cisco CallManager. For example, if all of my internal extensions begin with a '5' and are four digits long, if I dialed '5123' on the phone, the

MusicOnHold spawns everlasting mpg123 processes
Hullo :) I'm using CVS-04/23/04-23 from the stable 1.0 branch on kernel 2.6 - since I have no Digium h/w, I've just managed to get the zaprtc module to compile and run, so I thought the best way to test it would be via MoH. The MP3Player application works great .. exten => 6901,1,Answer exten => 6901,2,MP3Player(http://127.0.0.1:85/ES/28) This will play callers BBC Radio 4 from

Newbie needs audio help
My first Asterisk install: Debian sarge with the 2.6 kernel, and two X-Lite soft-phones. I followed the online how-to documents and was calling between the two soft-phones and calling the demo system with no problems and had full audio. I then went on to configure the TDM400P's two FXS modules. I got into that a ways and was having some success, but no dial-tone when I was off the

Cisco 7960 + SIP
Hello all, I know this isn't strictly Asterisk, but I'm sure that there are more people here using the Cisco 7960 w/ SIP, so I thought I'd post here. I've just bought a Cisco 7960 phone to use with Asterisk. It came with the CallManager image on it. I've got the 4.4 SIP images (P0S3-04-4-00). If I put "P0S3-04-4-00" in the OS79XX.TXT file, the phone downloads this

Headsets for Cisco 7940/7960
What headsets have people found work well with the Cisco 7940 and 7960 phones? To date, I have tried a couple of the headsets within the Plantronics H series (H41-N), and noticed that the volume of my speaking is lower over the headset than on the regular handset. I am currently looking for headsets that are known to work well. I do know that Cisco lists the H-91 and H-101 as certified to

Asterisk - Different Subnet to phones (Cisco 7960)
Hi, Today I was assigned a block of IPs by my ISP and decided to move the Asterisk box onto a public IP. I am also using 10.1.0.0/16 on my LAN, with the IP phones under 10.1.4.0/24 There is clear routing between the public and private IP ranges (no NAT). Private can see public and vice-versa. I changed the proxy config in the phone to point to the new IP address. Previously the 7960 worked
