Error compiling Wine 0.9.53 - Please Help
Greetings, I have much trouble compiling Wine 0.9.53 and I just don't know what to do. My system is Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex (32-bit) and I have build essential and build-dep wine installed. Also I've used install-wine-deps.sh from official Wine Wiki just to be sure that all needed dependencies are installed. First I've tried by downloading source code but whenever I try to compile it I

wine-0.9.53: slow startup
Hello. I looked a bit closer at the dumps that appear now that wine starts wineboot at each run. The faulty app is winedevice.exe; I disabled it in libraires, and now I don't get any more exceptions on starting wine. What is this winedevice.exe? What is it purpose, and what functionalities am I losing by disabling it? Thanks. -- Fabrice DELENTE

Regression test starting point
I am wanting to perform a regression test on an application but am not certain of the starting point I want to test. Test results for 0.9.53 indicated simply that it worked OK, without details of all aspects of the application, some of which are being reported as broken now. So, I want to confirm that it really did work OK then, as when I test with 0.9.60 through to 1.0rc3 it fails on some

Hello again. The problem is - when I download wine - let say 0.9.53 from here: http://ibiblio.org/pub/linux/system/emulators/wine/wine-0.9.53.tar.bz2 I can compile it on Debian Lenny without problems, however - when I use git like this: git clone git://source.winehq.org/git/wine.git wine-git cd wine-git git-reset wine-0.9.53 git checkout -f ./configure && make depend && make I

TradeStation under Wine - install failure
Hi, I haven't attempted to use Wine in at least a couple of years so I'm VERY out of date with how to really set it up and install an application. However I'm using TradeStation on Windows Vista and not enjoying Vista at all so I'm motivated to at least see if TS would work under Wine. My initial attempts didn't go so well so I'm checking in to see what the real users

Cannot configure wine/darwine
I've installed Darwine on an iMac. As per the documentation, I have attempted to run winecfg to set the various configs. But I cannot get it to display. The error log says that it attempted to create a window, but no driver found. Since I can't config, I can't set a driver. Any ideas? Wine redraw problem with baldur's gate ii (and others)
Hello. When i upgraded wine from 0.9.46 to 0.9.53 i noticed a annoying thing. When i run Baldur's Gate II - Shadows of Amn (and Icewind Dale II) on normal fullscreen mode they work fine. If i enable the "emulate a virtual desktop" option so that it runs on a window, it works fine until another window gets on top of the wine window. For example, i run xterm and run wine. If i click

Window Scrolling on OSX
I think this has been noted in previous posts by others, but I'm noticing it with post-version 1 builds of Darwine for OSX and I'm wondering if there's any way to fix it. The behavior is hard to describe but here goes: when using either Irfanview or Forte Agent, mouse activity in the Windows app causes the window to move downward on the desktop. Each click, the windows jumps

Orcad 7.2 (old) loads, but treeviews won't expand
I'm on freeBSD 7.0, wine 0.9.53. When I run Orcad, it can load projects, but schematics never open (unlike other users' experiences in the apps db from Orcad v9.0). You open schematics by expanding them in the 'project' treeview window, and under wine, the little "+" box next to the treeview just dissapears when you click on it instead of expanding. Wine Install and Uninstall Problems
Greetings all. I have been running Wine under Kubuntu Feisty for about the last four months, keeping it updated with the latest wine releases on a weekly basis, I use it to run WordPerfect. Whilst WordPerfect didn't run flawlessly, I got it to work well enough to edit and save documents I work on at home. In four months none of the updates to Wine changed anything in how WordPerfect

Ubuntu 8.10 - Irfanview - no longer able to install or use
I'm not sure if it's related or different, but I've found that the latest version of Irfanview (I think that's 4.23) will install, but will not run properly on wine in OSX. I had to move back to Irfanview 4.10 which still works fine on my system. I'm running OSX Tiger and Wine ver. wine-0.9.53. I didn't want to fuss with why 4.23 won't work since it wasn't
