FreePBX in Production systems?
Is anyone using FreePBX in production level systems because I'm just wondering if its stable enough to use. Currently I'm editing my own *.conf scripts but it sure would be nice if there were some sort of web interface for other people to use. The only thing holding me back is the stability of the FreePBX package... Any comments on this? Thanks in advance. Regards, Min Chang

GRE over IPSec VPN
Hey guys I''ve been beating my head on this for a few hours. Maybe it is just a stupid configuration error you can point me at. First here is a small diagram of what I am trying to configure: http://6bit.com/img/netdiag.png Currently I only have Shorewall running on the host on the right of the diagram until I can get this working then I''ll add it to the other host as well.

OT - Cisco IP Phone and PC in diferent VLANs(with 802.1x)
Cisco phones act a as a switch. If you do not use the CDP protocol to "tell" the phone it needs to be in a special VLAN (802.1q) then it will just use the access port settings on the switch, and, also allow the PC connected to the 2nd Ethernet port to have access to the network. However, if you have an all cisco powered network, with all cisco phones, I could advise you to use the CDP

copying large files over NFS locks up machine on -testing from Thursday
I''ve locked up my dom0 a couple of times this morning copying a 3GB file from local disk to an NFS mount(neither xend nor guests running). I don''t encounter this problem on the stock CentOS 4 kernel. The machine is a PowerEdge 2850 with 2 e1000 cards - the one in use is connected to a PowerConnect 2216 10/100 switch and has negotiated 100Mbit. I''ll check if the stock

Software only Asterisk PBX (commercial)
Are there any switchvox/fonality type Asterisk based PBXs where I can buy just the software? I don't want to buy their 'bundles' that come with junky PC hardware. I just want their software/GUI to run on my hardware. Does Asterisk BE come with a GUI management console for managing phones, queues, VM and the like? -Matt -- Matthew S. OT: Patch to OSS app for CDP without a Cisco switch - TESTERS WANTED
Hey everyone, I came across a situation where I needed to use CDP to advertise a voice vlan to Polycom/Cisco (and other CDP capable phones) without a Cisco switch. Sure I have Cisco switches in places but I like my Polycoms to work out of the box and it isn't always practical to purchase a Cisco switch for every location. cdp-tools homepage: http://gpl.internetconnection.net/ So I

Dell PowerConnect 2724 Switch and QoS for VOIP?
Has anyone had any experience with the Dell PowerConnect 2724 Gigabit Switch and VoIP traffic? It seems to support Class of Service (CoS), but not full Quality of Service (QoS). Will CoS help prioritize VoIP traffic at all? I am setting up an asterisk PBX for 22 users with very light traffic, but I don't want to have the call start skipping just because someone is pulling a large

[PATCH] Generalize HMAC implementation
Hello everyone and Timo in particular, about a year ago I implemented a SHA-1 variant of the HMAC(-MD5) present in Dovecot. I had always disliked this a bit, because it replicates a lot of code. This patch generalizes the HMAC function to take a hash_method struct as parameter, and changes existing code which uses the "old" HMAC function to use this new one. I'm not really sure

Asterisk connecting to nortel CS 1000 as sip trunk Need help with final piece (incoming call) outgoing works.
All, I am connecting to a CS 1000 nortel PBX. I can call out, I have limited success with call in. I get debug traffic that a call is coming in but I get the message "Unable to create/find channel". I was expecting that incoming calls over the trunk would be handled from my sip definition and goto the nortel context. It is not. Below is the actual incoming call debug information. I am

Shared Line Appearances
anyone using/experimenting with this new feature in asterisk 1.4? is anybody able to post some info how to use and what features are supported? I have general knowledge how SLA should work, ie. monitor status of another line like BLF with additional features like answer ringing call, barge into existing call on shared line and make conference call or resume call, that was put on hold on

[LLVMdev] GSOC - HLVM Work
Hello, I would also like to apply for Google's Summer of Code, but I am having difficulty finding a concrete project idea to tackle. (Though certainly interesting, a new front-end or a compiler optimization pass seem like to large as projects for a single summer -- and certainly something I couldn't accomplish given my lack of familiarity with the code-base.) I have read the

Repeatable, But Time Varying R GUI Crash
Hello, I'm having a problem in R. The R GUI is crashing with a message to contact Microsoft for the solution. I've contacted Microsoft and they are of no help. Below is a distilled set of code that will cause the crash. As you will see, there are two do-loops within which is a "load" command. The crash usually occurs after 200*400 (=80,000) to 2,000*400(=800,000)

Extracting x-values from an ecdf
Dear R users, Quick question on the use of ecdf for producing a cumulative distribution function. After having produced a cumulative distribution using ecdf, I would like to extract the exact x-value for a given percentile. For example I can ascertain the 1st and 3rd quartile using the summary function: cawa.cdp <- ecdf(cawaocc$LEFF80) plot(cawa.cdp, ylab="Fn(x)")
