Matt,
Its simple. To quote the docs, "tmpfs lives entirely in the kernel's
caches"
It will shrink and grow to accommodate the files that currently on the
filesystem.
So if you allocate 10GB for your /tmp but only use 500MB it will only
use 500MB of RAM. Think of the time your server

queueue recording and what to do next
Guys, if you define recording on queues.conf and also define a
monitor_filename var on your dialplna, you can record a queue call but,
isthere a way to do something with the file after the call ends? I need to
move the file to some other place but I cant find where to define a command
to run after a queue call finishes.
Any hints?

update - 512 Simultaneous Calls with Digital Recording
Hi All,
In previous mail lists, people talked about a solution to record large
amount of simultaneous calls. And then it seems that RAM disk solution
was the best choice due to the I/O bottleneck of Hard disk (System).
Please find the previous discussion as follows:

SUCCESS - 512 Simultaneous Calls with Digital Recording
List users,
Over the last few days we have been working with MCI's development lab
to test our Asterisk setup. We were using a piece of hardware called an
Abacus 5000 that is capable of creating and terminating thousands of SIP
calls. Initially, we could not get past 64 simultaneous digitally
recorded calls without having call quality issues including dropped
calls. We identified an

Edit you smb.conf file. In RedHat I believe this is located in

Look for the line you want to get rid of and fill it in with what ever you
want. Its just a description field.

Q: rsync, Windows, --backup-dir, parameters
Hi,
I've seen a page on the internet :
http://optics.ph.unimelb.edu.au/help/rsync/rsync_pc1.html
Seems to me that I have some problems running the rsync binary
with "--backup-dir=PATH" options.
The command below runs just fine except for the option
above.
C:\rsync>rsync --delete -b --backup
--backup-dir=/cygdrive/c/Doc/backup/Fri -ave ssh /cygd

RE: Asterisk at home with Broadvoice?
As a general rule of thumb it would be good to make the distinction
between 'Credit Card' and 'Debit Card' too.
If possible, never ever use a debit card for online purchases.
It taps directly into your account and removes REAL money.
Credit cards are 'virtual' money in that they are credit and your cash
in account remains untouched.
That way if your credit card account

how to stop simultaneous execution of commands in rjs templates
If you have a rjs template with 10 lines of code. Is it possible to
make then run in order, one after the other. Is this possible with rjs
or are you stuck with the simultaneous execution of the javascript. I
don''t want to resort to the delay method.

have on each Unix (Mac/Linux) host that

Gigaset S450ip and simultaneous calls
Hi,
My Gigaset S450ip allows 2 simulatneous calls when each incoming call are
targeted to different phones.
When both calls target the same extension, the second one is forwarded to
voicemail.
I couldn't check yet SIP messages but has anyone met this limitation (one
simultaneous call per phone) ?
