Using patch -p0 <meetme-diff-cbmysql_1.txt produces 'malformed patch' message
I have googled for several hours and have read several threads but I have not found an answer yet. I have downloaded asterisk-1.0.7 and WebMeetMe-Gui. I have tried to use the diff file 'meetme-diff-cbmysql_1.txt' to add the changes needed for WebMeetMe-Gui. Using 'patch -p0 <meetme-diff-cbmysql_1.txt' in the apps directory returns: patching file app_meetme.c patch: ****

Using patch -p0 <meetme-diff-cbmysql_1.txtproduces 'malformed patch' message
That patch is very small, so if you need to you could manually apply the patch. All it adds is callerId to the "meetme list confno" command. It is based on 1.0.7, and I did apply it to a clean tree to verify it, but I am also the first to admit that I am new to using diff/patch, so I may have done it wrong. Converence/Meetme with Manager API
Hello! I am having problems figuring out how to do something, and any help would be much appreciated. I would like to use the manager API to take an existing call on a specific SIP extension, dial and conference in a third party. From what I can tell, the way to do this would be to take the two original parties on the call and stick them in a meetme room using Redirect with ExtraChannel,

AMI Originate Commands executed in sequential Order problem
Hi, I noticed that asterisk manager interface will only accept the originate commands in sequential order. For example, if I want to ring two extensions through the AMI, and while first extension is ringing, AMI won't execute and ring second extension until first extension has answered the call. Anybody has any ideas as I had the same results even tested with telnet commands to AMI interface.

problems compiling R packages with Linux
Hello out there, my first try to install a package (e.g. ctest from CRAN) didn't succeed; looking at the error messages I think it must be a configuration problem of my machine, but as I'm not very experienced I would be glad if someone could give me a hint ... R's version is 0.63.0, my i386-Linux is kernel 2.0.35. I hadn't had problems to compile R, and R itself seems to work.

Can I install in the following fashion?
<permit me my perhaps foolish preference...an explanation> I run mail service for a small college. I've long joked that if someone stole the mail server, the phone would ring before the alarm (which has a 1 minute delay) did, that the user base expected 25x8x367 coverage. Making updates/upgrades to the mail server feels like a tightrope walk with no net. I always appreciated
