Re: Subscription state after reload (New subject)
Actually, I have tested this here with an Aastra 9133i and an Asterisk@Home server, and the 9133i will re-subscribe on its own after an Asterisk reboot, if you wait long enough. It took on the order of an hour to do so. Of course, a phone reboot will get it done faster, if necessary, but it _will_ eventually re-subscribe on its own. > Thanks Olle, > > So am I to understand that you

BLF not working after reload
Hi there, I am running Asterisk 1.2. I have a Grandstream GXP2000 and Aastra 9133i with BLF/Speedial configured for other extensions. The hint's are all configured in extensions.conf and it seems to work as it is supposed to until I reload the configuration in Asterisk or reboot the server. Then neither phone displays the BLF of other extensions until I reboot the phone. It continues

Grandstream GXP-2000
FYI, spoke with Grandstream this morning, the GXP-2000 release has been delayed again. Looking like April now before these hit the street. -- Cory Andrews Senior Partner VOIPSupply.com +++++++++++++ V: 800.398.VOIP X22 F: 716.630.1548 E: Cory@VOIPSupply.com

What business IP phone to use
I have been struggling with this issue for about a year now. There were just too many IP phones to choose from at all sorts of price points and not enough information about any of them. Now I am looking at the situation again and if anything it has gotten worse. There are even more phones and all sorts of opinions. For every person that says phone x is great there is someone else complaining

Fw: anybody has SIP realtime working ?
Hello, I am just asking this because I am note sure if the problem is on my side or not, I saw some comments on SIP realtime today so I was wondering, has anybody has SIP realtime working with a softfone ? If yes, please confirm, that would give me a light. My previous message to the list is below. Thanks. Frederic ----- Original Message ----- From: Frederic Jean To:

Advice on best operator phone (with attendant console)
One of our clients is using a Grandstream GXP2000 with an attendant console. We have used the same phone with past clients successfully however this particular operator processes around 200 calls a hours and the GXP2000 for sure does not like the quick line shuffling and call volume. We get the following problems randomly: 1. menu stops working 2. transfer key stops working 3. Line 1 LED gets

FW: BLF not working after reload
I tried 1.0.1.12, 1.0.1.13 and now 1.0.2.13 on the GXP2000. I doubt it's the firmware if it is happening on two completely different phones. I read of a bug in Asterisk that exhibited this exact behaviour that was apparently fixed in Asterisk 1.2.0 as far as I can tell. http://bugs.digium.com/view.php?id=3644 > -----Original Message----- > From: stoffell [mailto:stoffell@gmail.com]

How to use SIP hints and BLF for realtime extensions on Aastra phones?
Hi, I need to make use of BLF feature on Aastra 6757i phones but its an Asterisk 1.4 using realtime architecture. Extensions are defined in realtime database and dial plan is in AEL. I am able to correctly setup hints in the dialplan, but they don't work. Did some research and found out that hints don't work work with realtime extensions. Is there any work around? On voip-info I read

Hints and realtime
Is it possible to use hints from a realtime source like a db or curl ? I was looking at the grandstream GXP2000 Expansion Module (EXT) which has 56 fully programmable keys that work with BLF. You can daisy-chain 2 of these together to get 112 keys, plus the 18 on the 2010 phone to give 130 potential blfs. What I was wanting to do was to use the BLF as a type of agent monitor as well - when

Aastra 9133i programmable buttons (* 4.1.23)
Is it possible to control the light on a programmable button without the blf option? I'm using a programmable button to turn call recording on and off and I would like the light to indicate the status. Thanks, David Ruggles CCNA MCSE (NT) CNA A+ Network Engineer Safe Data, Inc. Best Hardphone (Subjective?)
After working with the Grandstream GXP 2000 series phones, I have decided that I am quite unhappy with their problems, both voice quality, volume, features and others. For their price now, there are plenty of phones to choose from as well. So subjectively what would be the best Hardphone for a small/medium business with multiple line support, BLF, etc. Are the Cisco 7960 the best of the

Grandstream GXP2000 -- What's the Catch?
We are doing a medium sized office in NYC with 80 phones. The customer originally requested Polycom 601 phones. The COO also authorized us to purchase 2 Grandstream GXP2000 phones for the mail room. We find these phones much easier to configure and work with asterisk . They support BLF & intercom right out of the box. They can also be centrally managed and provisioned. They also sound great

Off Topic: Aastra BLF limit...
Hi. Does anyone have a patch or workaround for the 50 BLF limit of Aastra phones? I have a couple 57i with the 560M console and only the first 50 BLF lines get registered. I am using the latest firmware from Aastra but I read that this limit was imposed because of a memory leak. Obviously my customer is complaining about these last 10 lines not showing their status. -- Telecomunicaciones

High volume BLF - Suggestions?
Hi, We have a user who is putting large call volumes through Asterisk, and wants to BLF monitor up to 90 extensions. We are struggling to find a handset that can keep up with Asterisk :) 1) Is there a handset that will do this? 2) Is there a different (standard) way to send BLF and allow directed pickups? 2a) Or even a handset specific way? Asterisk handles the BLF volume fine, even on quite

Which SIP phones to buy?
I need to buy some new phones for our own offices. I've used only Polycom phones until now, but I'd like to broaden my experience. I'm trying to decide which phones to experiment with. I have these options: - A combination of Polycom, Aastra and Snom - Just Polycom One the one hand, I'd like to keep things uniform, since it greatly simplifies provisioning. On the other hand, I

Changing labels on Phones
We have several types of phones, Cisco 79xx, Aastra 9133i etc. We have a "hotdesk" type system where anyone can log on to an extension - however what I would love to do is relabel the phone with the current "owner" when this logon happens. I know that I can change the sip.conf and phones tftp file, however this is a big problem with the Cisco's as they take *forever* (ok,
