Hello, i've googled and can't find a definite answer, so here goes: I have purchased the Digium TE100P, and am setting up the connection, however the telco i'm supposed to work with does not support PRI/ISDN E1 connections. They only support E1/R2 lines. Is there a way i can make the TE100P work with this? I've not seen any zaptel.conf that supports this. Any workarounds?

Hi, I have a Gateway running in "TE" (terminal equipment mode as "slave" that I need to connect to my asterisk server using a TE100P card. Now "ztcfg" says I have one card with correctly configured 31 channels, but red led on back of card doesn't flash. I've just had polarity reversal provisioned by our telco to test hangup detect with a TDM400P I've set hanguponpolarityswitch=yes in zapata.conf When I start Asterisk I get "ignoring hanguponpolarityswitch" in /var/log/asterisk/messages I assume that the option is either not valid or conflicts with another setting somewhere. There are a few mentions in the wiki [1] about a zapata.conf flag "hanguponpolarityswitch". It is meant to cause Asterisk to detect a hangup when the line polarity switches at the end of the call. Since putting my Tellabs EC into place around 2 weeks ago, the echo problem has almost been eliminated. Reports of some very faint echo, but everybody is happy. My question is, if I were to also turn on the Asterisk Software EC, would this remove any residual echo that may make it past the Tellabs Hardware EC. Thanks, Doug
