SIP realtime: how to authenticate without "name" field ?
Hi,
Can someone explain to me how to set up the sip_buddies
table from 1.2.5 properly so my users can authenticate correctly
without using the "name" field ? (if it's possible)
First I was assuming that it would be possible for a user
to connect and dial just providing "username","secret","host" and "context"
but it seems that I need

Fw: anybody has SIP realtime working ?
Hello,
I am just asking this because I am note sure if the problem
is on my side or not, I saw some comments on SIP realtime
today so I was wondering, has anybody has SIP realtime working
with a softfone ?
If yes, please confirm, that would give me a light.
My previous message to the list is below.
Thanks.

AGI Stderr
Does anyone know how I can get stderr from AGI to be sent to somewhere other than the console? It seems that this is the only place it can go. Changing logger.conf has no effect.
If you want to see errors from AGI scripts, you have to run the Asterisk console, which isn't viable.

CallerID and anonymous SIP calls
Hi to all,
can you suggest to me the best way to avoid problems in the CDRs for anonymous
sip calls?
I have some peoples that set Send Anonymous : Yes in their Grandstream phones
and i don't receive the username as phone number that i use to make billing.
It is empty. The only place where there is the phone number is in the peer
name where it write the name of the peer that in this case is

chopped audio problem
Does this happen at the beginning, or always after 30 seconds, or what?
Are you using shout? Are these VBR files? Do you have use_metadata
turned on in the icecast config?

chopped audio problem
Hi,
I use liveice/icecast on a linux box redhat 6 (2.2.18) and my problem is that the streamed audio gets chopped -on the LAN!!! The audio is encoded in 32kbps and I have a 512kbps/512kbps connection, so it should be enough to stream several connections at once. It sounds just like when a cd gets dirty or scracthed on the back. Anyway, it seems to go away if you can endure the terrible sound for

Picture upload - picture gets chopped
I implemented the picture upload code from the AWDWR-book.(where it
saves the picture to blob-field in db).
It worked well on my windows-box, but now I exported my code to
Linux-box and when the picture is uploaded, it gets cut. Only the upper
30 % of the picture file is saved to db.
Any ideas how to fix this?
By the way, the windows-version of the MySQL Query Browser was able to
show the

barplot with chopped bars
Dear R users,
I want to make a barplot with bars that can be non-continuous. An example
will be the presence and absence of some events over time, e.g. a bunch of
people that are either in the office or not in the office, for some period
of time. I want to visualize this in a bar plot like this:
Person 1: ********* ******** *******
Person 2: ********* ***** **********

CDR_DISPOSITION_FAILED - Call has been answered correctly
Hi guys,
I've an asterisk 1.2.5 runing as production system. Now it becomes
very important to my customer an exact analysis of CDRs for their QoS
to their customers.
I've been analysing the CDRs, and i notice many entries like this:
Calldate |Channel |Source | Clid
| Dst | Disposition | Duration

Chopped files when downloading from database
I have some files stored in db. When I try to download these I only get
65535 bytes from the database even if the file is a lot bigger. Is it a
Rails setting I''ve missed or a database setting? Anything else?
Using Rails 1.0, WinXP and MySQL4.1

chopped audio problem
I do use metadate since i need people to see the titles.
I use livecast in mixer mode.
The chopping starts right away
I don't use VBR (I commented it out at least). The mp3's are made with XING audiocatalyst (for windows) so I don't really know. Sorry.

ENC: RES: ocfs installation error on RHAS 2.1
Well, I've downloaded the kernel source code from
http://mirror.dulug.duke.edu/pub/redhat/linux/updates/enterprise/2.1AS/en/os
/SRPMS/kernel-2.4.18-e.40.src.rpm
and compiled it for x86 (i686).
Is this kernel compatible with ocfs ??

plockstat - chopped stack output
Hi - I''m trying to use plockstat to help identify any mutex contention issues we may have in our c++ app.
>From the docs it would appear to be a very useful tool - unfortunately in practice this doesn''t bear out purely because the stack traces produced are limited to being 39/40 characters wide. In general this means that I''m not seeing ~75% of each stack symbol and

Transferred calls CDRs
Hello!
I have been doing some tests with call transfers and I have been looking at
the CDRs that Asterisk generates.
Scenario 1:
A calls B
B answers and does a blind transfer to C (using # key)
C answers and talks with A
Scenario 2:
A calls B
B answers and does an attended transfer do C (using the phone's transfer
key)
C answers, B hangs up, and C talks with A
For scenario 1, the CDR shows

CDR changes in Trunk -- Transfers, CDRs, Life, and Everything
I have created an asterisk.org blog entry:
http://www.asterisk.org/node/48358
to describe what I will shortly be committing to trunk to correct the
weaknesses of CDRs, that asterisk users and developers have been
complaining about for quite some time.
Highlights: Restructuring the code and philosophy of CDRs.
Plans to eliminate the ForkCDR() application
