Asterisk with Vonage
I know Vonage doesn't officially have a "bring your own device" type program, but they do offer a softphone. Has anyone gotten Asterisk to connect directly to Vonage? This would be a great help!! -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Vonage and FXO
Is anyone using Vonage on an FXO port in Asterisk? How well does it work? Specifically, any echo/delay problems? Second part, I am assuming it is possible to separate fxo ports for least cost routing correct? In other words, I would like the routing to be such that any local or 1-800# dials fxo ports 1-4 which is a normal 4 line analog PSTN connection. Any long distance call will try to dial

Two X100p clones. One not available for outbound?
Hi, I have an AsteriskAtHome installation with two X100p clones. Everything has been apparently fine for 5 weeks of use or so, but today, I decided to do some tweaking of my echo cancel parameters, and I realized that all along, one of my cards has been unavailable for outbound calls for some reason. Most of my calls go out one card, which is connected to a Vonage ATA. That is working fine.

Asterisk@home default password doesn't
I follow the advice of Alasdair, it was happening because of the multiple kernel panics. I have installed it again, and now it's working properly! Thanks a lot for your help. I'll change also all default passwords for security reasons. BR, //Laura From: "Steve Jones" <sjones@ftdata.com> Subject: RE: [Asterisk-Users] Asterisk@home default password doesn't match

SIP-SIP transfer via the REFER/NOTIFY method
Could anyone help me set up Asterisk in such a way that it makes SIP-SIP transfers using the REFER / NOTIFY method according to RFC-3515 ? SCANARIO: - Asterisk registers with PSTN<->SIP VoIP provider "V" (Vonage) as a friend - Asterisk is located in Europe, Vonage in located US. - Asterisk acts as an autoattendant located in Europe. - Asterisk answers and incoming call from

Asterisk with Vonage problems
Does anyone currently use Vonage with Asterisk? I've tried to set it up but it looks like Asterisk (at least the version that I have) does not handle well the SIP call dialog, sending a BYE with the wrong tag. As a result, when I hang up, Vonage sends back a 400 Bad Request and the call on the PSTN side does not hang up. I know that Vonage does a lot of nasty stuff which impacts UA's

Asterisk and Vonage - Can't call out but can receive calls
Hi, I'm trying to get Asterisk to connect to Vonage (softphone acct) to allow me to place and receive calls. I have successfully configured Asterisk to route inbound calls and send them to the correct extension, but I can't get outbound calls to work. I have Asterisk successfully registering with Vonage, but when an INVITE is sent out, I get a "404 Not Found" back from Vonage

vonage.ca * integration possible?
I just got setup with vonage.ca with the motorola ata unit.. I fired up ethreal and checked out what's flying over the network... The sniff below would lead me to believe that it might be possible to have asterisk spoof the User-Agent field and register itself? Any thoughts/feedback? Thanks. > > No. Time Source Destination Protocol Info >

Asterisk registering with vonage
Hello everyone. I've seen postings for connecting asterisk to vonage but I'm still having trouble achieving that. I have a vonage softphone and I'm trying to register to vonage using asterisk. I have not had any luck. I am behind a firewall. I've successfully gotten xlite to connect and work from the same network. When I change the port setting in [general] to 5061, I am able to

Jumping on the asterisk bandwagon
After two weeks of reading about asterisk and joining this mailing list, I finally decided jumping on the asterisk bandwagon... Asterisk rocks!!! I have a www.Stanaphone.com SIP (free) for incoming line and a www.VOIPJET.com IAX line for outbound. I also have a www.Vonage.com line (gives me 500 outbound minutes) and a Cingular cell phone (gives me 800 minutes) and I also use Skype fairly

[Fwd: RE: any possibility of Vonage Integration]
I stand corrected! However you do get my point ... The bigger the company the worse it is. Having to deal with these guys is a nightmare. The company that brings me out in spots is Rogers Cable (24/7). They have this electronic air-head called "Gertrude" or something, (an android) who can't understand the word "NO" and has trouble with "YES" (actually like my

using broadvoice and vonage hardware withAsterisk
So Asterisk can't send VOIP calls to Vonage -- but it is still possible to use Vonage for flat-rate long distance by connecting the Vonage AT-196 to an * FXS port, right? The price is an extra D/A <--> A/D conversion. Jim Shilliday IT Director Equal Justice Center 1315 Walnut St. Suite 400 Philadelphia PA 19107 215-238-6970 -----Original Message----- From: Tim Petlock

Vonage <---> Asterisk Complete Config
Vonage doesn't sell just a softphone account -- or at least they didn't about six months ago when I was a Vonage customer. But they do allow a softphone as an add-on to an ATA-based account. Because the softphone account works with openly available soft clients, it also works with asterisk. The big "secret" is that they use port 5061, rather than port 5060. > > I

Transfer to Fax - 123 - Vonage
Okay, my last post for the night. So, after tweaking my iptables rules I placed a test call from my * -> Vonage softphone account, to my Vonage main account (which uses the Motorola device). Once connected I tried punching a few DTMF's to check the quality and found I had been transferred to a fax machine. ???? Did I find a secret entrance to some fax machine at Vonage, or

Vonage Softphone/resolved
My previous post hasn't even made it to the list yet (am I being moderated?), but I got Vonage's Softphone service working for inbound and outbound calls. Keep in mind that there's currently no perceived limit on simultaneous inbound calls, which makes this a wonderful solution for Asterisk (at least for my use). Below is a sanitized snippet from my working sip.conf; your mileage may

Calling SIP Address From Behind NAT
My asterisk box is behind a NAT firewall. I have friends that are on Earthlink, Vonage, etc. I'd like to make VOIP calls directly to them rather than going through the PSTN. With Earthlink, I can make this work through FWD peeting numbers, but that's sort of a waste of FWD bandwidth. WIth Vonage, it doesn't work. I suspect this is because of the breakage between FWD and Vonage that
