How do you upgrade samba from 3.0.28 to 3.0.29 to fix winbind issue? My OS is CentOS 4.5. I haven't been able to find a RPM above 3.0.28. for samba. I have copied all the required CentOS 3.4 RPMs to /RPM, created a new yum repository and then updated, but when I try to upgrade, it fails on a "recursive dependency on glibc". Hello all I migrated my Centos installation from a whitebox install few months ago. Only one minor issue...on booting up X, the login screen shows whitebox logos. At that time, I did not tackle it because I assumed that it will automatically be upgraded with yum...and again it was not essential to running the OS. What whitebox rpms do I need to substitute with centos ones to correct this

I just installed a fresh 3.3 system (because those are the ISO's I had on hand). Upon running yum update, it starts to download headers and then stalls. I hit Ctl-C and it continues to download about 4-5 more headers and stalls. I hit Ctl-C again and it pulls a few more headers. Anyone seen this and/or know how to fix it? TIA Mike
