It currently has SIP 42.9-0-2SR1S firmware loaded on it. We do not see any option to configure a SIP Proxy where we can provide SIP Server (Asterisk PC/Device)? Unprovisioned 7961
Hi Everyone, I am having some issues getting my 7961 working with Trixbox. I have loaded the SIP code (8-3-3SR2) fine but when the phone boots up it goes into an unprovisioned state. A status message shows up and says ?Error Verifying Config Info?. I have read quite a bit on this topic (getting 7961?s to work with Asterisk and TB) and only came across a few postings where other people

OT: Cisco 7961 SIP downgrade from 8.3.3 -> 8.0.4SRS2 failing
Hi, My apologies for the OT. My googling came up empty and hopefully there are some members in the community that could give me a hint how to solve this issue: Cisco 7961 with SIP firmware 8.3.3. Needed to downgrade it to 8.0.4SRS2. The downgrade process started off good. The 7961 got it's IP address via DHCP, found it's SEP<mac>.cnf.xml file and started to "upgrade"

cisco 7940 + sccp issue
Hi, Does anyone know how to make this thing (7940) work with asterisk (chan_sccp module) ? I've set the configuration according to the wiki and now the phone just keep asking for CTLSEP<xxx>.tlv from my tftp server. Cisco 7940 with asterisk
Hi all, I've been playing around with a cisco 7940 phone. It seems to like talking to Asterisk with the chan_sccp plugin. The only problem is that it tries to call out to a SEPXXXXXXXXX.cnf.xml file to verify it's configuration. I've found docs for SEP*.cnf files, but not .xml ones. Does anyone have a .xml file for a 7940 (Skinny?) phone that I can start with? ...Jeff

Cisco 7970 SIP upgrade issues
Dear Asterisk People, I am having problems putting a SIP image on a 7970. I was wondering if anyone can help? First problem is the phone is running version Load IDJar70.2-5-47-17.sbn Boot Load ID7970_64054100.bin Version5.0(0.6S) So I did read that you couldn't simply put the latest SIP image on such an old phone and a newer firmware version should be used. I got

Cisco 7970 SIP won't update?
Does anyone know what triggers the 7970 to update its config? I was able to get it to update to SIP, but the config I used initially won't go away. I am making small changes to the SEPxxx.cnf.xml file and rebooting the phone, the phone is downloading the (TFTP) new config file, but I don't see any change on the phone itself. I've looked at the VersionStamp and incremented that, but

Cisco 7960 quick dial
Is there a way to make the Cisco 7960 SIP phone dial out automatically without having to press the dial button, once the numbers that you have entered match a specific pattern? This feature is present when the phone is working with a Cisco CallManager. For example, if all of my internal extensions begin with a '5' and are four digits long, if I dialed '5123' on the phone, the
